Hi everyone, I noticed this thread after coming across an email from the Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce that the station is reopening under the name of Mohawk Station Bar & Grill. I'm hoping to do a story on their opening and I'd love to get some feedback from residents on the opportunity for a place to dine out and have a brew.

Ok here we go, The wait is over, Mohawk Station Bar & Grill will open on Thursday, March 29th @ 11:00 am so forget all about the mis-spoken comments and prepare yourself for great food and good times.

Just don't send Cassaundra Baber to cover this. She'll suck the whole kitchen down. Tell me, is it at all possible if she can write an entire column without inserting her {pithy comments}. We don't care about her personal "witty" thoughts. She's never had an original one.
Go over to Herkimer and do an article featuring the new Sushi place - Tokyo Sushi. The parking lot is packed every nite.

food was awful, service was terrible... i know its the first day but some of what happened is inexcusable- better service @ mcdonalds

Food was not ok. 9 oz fish weighed 3 1/2 oz. Steak was on its way out, sour tasting. No salad with surf and turf at $17.00. Service was slow but it's ok first night. Spaghetti half cooked like it was this morning when they first cooked it and over priced. Wish i had the phone number so i could call the owner (if i knew his name). p.s. no liquor. Hate to say this, but the bars have much better food and cost alot less. Too bad, the valley sure could use a nice a really good restaurant.

I was thrilled to see the restaurant packed last night. I did not go. But do plan on it over the weekend. I wish the new Mohawk Station the best!!!

Give the place a little while to work through the kinks. They are probably waiting on their liquor license. Who in their right mind goes to a place that just opened up and then expects it to run like clock work.

Who opens a place and runs it like they have no clue whats going on... every unsatisfied customer went home and told their friends and family about their bad experience and as we know bad news travels like wildfire in this valley... not good for the station

give it a frigging chance! your hostility is completely out of line. no one begrudges the right to critique but for Pete's sake try to be constructive, use some common sense and perspective, it was their first day in business!

this valley badly needs a place like the Station, your kneejerk bashing is counterproductive to everyone's interest, from patrons to employees (ie, jobs for our lagging economy). wise up & grow up willya!

didn't stop in on Opening Day but we are looking forward to checking it out and we wish the Station the best of luck!

when the menu says you are ordering a 9 0z. fish and its half that size thats not first night jitters thats just wrong no excuses

I went the first night even though I knew better. Even for a first night, the service was terrible. Although we were sat right away, the wait for the food was intolerable. The waitress was unattentive. Everyone around us waited over two hours for their food. The quality of the food was lacking. Attention to detail was nonexistent.

Has anyone had a good experience? I'd like to see this place be successful but it's not looking promising. If you have been there and enjoyed your meal, say so.

I went the first night they were open. The food was excellent, I would definitely go back in a few weeks when they've had a chance to get into routines. My biggest complaint would be the slow service- I hope just due to opening night and getting into the swing of things.

i was there on sat i had a great meal, i met the owner very nice guys. im sure they will do great once they iron things out with wait staff. good luck guys i will definetly be back.

I was waited on by a very friendly waitress. She was up front with us about the wait because she said a lot of people have been upset for having to wait. Turns out, two of the cooks decided they didn't any to work here and walked out right during a rush. How could someone do that? I hope people are as understanding as I an. I'd like to see this do well.

they didnt any to work here..that about sums it up,,THE SAGA CONTINUES..or is the place JUST CURSED??maybe the beardslee mansion ghosts got hit by a train..??
OR THE COOKS KNOW MORE THAN YOU DO..McDonalds has fish at 2 for $3.33..no waiting..dont be RAILROADED into eating there.by a bunch of TOPIX REVIEWS...GO MOHAWK..

Stopped in Thursday and Friday for a few drinks, it was eay too busy to sit and wait fir a dinner. The place looks great, the girls seem nice, the cute blonde bartender was awesome! Give this place a chance to work out the kinks! Hope tgey succeeded.

went for dinner saturday nite, waitress very nice, food was good, I wouldnt say top notch, but again brand new, giving them time to work thru the kinks. a litle pricey but hey what isnt these days, if they can speed up the process a little and maybe get a new cook, prices would be considered excellent, will def, go back.
