I think that this turbine style has future in an Urban setting.

I personally built my own style that uses drag to create a spin and it is a similar size to this turbine.
Also I came up with a turbine that I call The FAWT silo that works on a venturi effect and direction of wind change.
And like the brothers said it can be in the backyard, it is cheaper.

I'm not going to get my hopes up about putting one in my backyard. The Board of Directors has a way of squashing any good ideas, especially when it comes to property owners using their own property.

How tall are these things? If they are 12 feet tall, I'm sure the City will say we can only have something up to 11 feet tall.
