I was there with my kids enjoying a beautiful day when he just went down. He is a very good pilot who was giving a great show until this happened. His wife was addressing the crowd when he went down! I sure hope he is ok. Our hearts are with him and his wife.

I was at the air show and saw the whole thing. I have been going to air shows for 30 years and have never seen a stunt like that. It was clear to me that as he made his run down the runway doing the barrel rolls he was way too low to the ground. He tried to bank right and I think the centrifugal force of the spin plus the low altitude contributed to the plane loosing lift and slamming into the ground. My first thought was he could not have survived the crash. I was very happy and surprised that he did.
