I want to enjoy life," 55-year-old Jody Miller of Calera. "I want to be able to go to public venues. I want to enjoy my life without having to deal with second-hand smoke." whannnnnnnnn stay out of smoking venues then.........dumb dip

The lawmakers took action Wednesday as more than 100 American Cancer Society volunteers gathered outside the Statehouse for a "Relay for Life" walk. running to impose socialism on everyone, why dont they run down to the pier and jump in.....totally a bunch of wacks

Sen. Trip Pittman worried the legislation infringes on smoker's rights and operators of small businesses that would have to enforce the law. "People do have the right to make bad decisions," said Pittman, R-Daphne.

notice its a republican who stands up for the rights of free people and puts down prohibition.
Wheres fred thompson when we need a man to stand up to these frigging commies........

This is not a political issue. It's a health issue. It's definitely a life issue. There are people dying because of second-hand smoke," said state Sen. Vivian Davis Figures, D-Mobile.
Another democrapper spinning the lies for a ban.........its never ben about health its about control and socialization of society to force people to live as you want them to live.......oh I can see the crowds gathering now.of course the leftwing media will never show it on tv.......

The bill's sponsor suffers from bronchitis and asthma and has been fighting for a statewide smoking ban for more than 10 years

WHANNNNNN SO FRIGGING WHAT SUFFER DUMB DIP........YOU AINT THE ONE BEING PERSECUTED BY PROHIBITION....BUT YOU WAIT OUR DAY AS THE TOP DOG IS COMMING.........YOU FOOL, YOU BIT OFF THE BIGGEST FIGHT YOU EVER GOT NOW.........We are in the midst of creating the biggest freedom march in the history of the world........its called smokers freedom day march..........you thought farm aid was big wait til we get our list of stars done.........you jerks.......

its not just over taxation on smokes causing budget shortfalls to the states, but more precisely the loss of venue reciepts due to people not doing anything since they banned smoking.......people sit home and save their bucks to go to smoker friendly areas...........you can never ever succeed legislating behavior in the public........read up on prohibition and how it ALWAYS FAILS.......

Those who even THINK 'ban' need to look at the ACTUAL financials of ban states. It is NOT pretty!
