Former Loxley police chief, court clerk arrested

Authorities say a former police chief and a former municipal court clerk in Loxley have been arrested on charges of misusing confidential law enforcement information. via Alabama Live

I thank GOD that someone is trying to take care of the crooked things that go on in Loxley. What a great town it would be if they would quit hiding behind the church and not sweep things under the rug, like the lady that embexxled the money and they did not want to ruin her reputation at the church. $10000.00 of the citizens money and no-one did anything. Thank you Troy King. If you investigate you will find alot more than wnat you have already found. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Don't stop here. Dig a little deeper, and you will uncover more corruption.I agree with Knows From Experience, this is just the tip of the ice berg.Check NCIC and see how many times Officer Mitchum has accessed it illegally.He used it to run a social on a lady and several tag numbers of cars sitting in his ex-wifes yard.Thank You, Troy King and Michael Murphy.Keep up the good work.Clean up Loxley once and for all.

I think pete is trying to tell you that you should let the system do its job and quit slandering people. no doubt-if all is true, that accessing records that no one has business in doing, one should be punished for. Pete are you Scottish? If so then you need to learn English (US) Laws. SLANDER is a false or malicious report which is spoken to another party, or could take the form of a malicious gesture, look or sign.
LIBEL is a defamatory publication or statement which is either written or published for general reception such as on TV or radio (or, presumably, a publicly available web site).
I won't comment on anything specific about Officer Mitchum because anything I would write would be LIBEL! But I will state my OPINION which is neither LIB EL or SLANDER! He is a corrupt Officer that still lives in the GOOD OLE' BOY ERA when Loxley was so separated from the rest of the world they literally could do anything they wanted and usually did; wheather it conformed to the law or not. AS Loxley grows they will be forced to conform more as the citizens are becomming intollerant of their ancient tactics and policies. Twenty years ago Daphne went through the same thing. Now they - for the most part- do follow the law!

regardless of the right name or law to what this person is saying on here it is still wrong. Your opinion of this person in writing on this forum for ALL the world to read is illegal in some form and down right wrong. It could be all true but my mother raised me that if you cannot say anything nice-dont say anything at all. I am sure each of you and myself have done things we are not proud of or dont care for others to talk about so remember that finger pointing does point back at you. Let the law do its job. This upset person who obviously has personal ties with this officer is just spitting anger out and needs to move on with their life and learn to live happy. Sooner or later the bad people will get caught or will get what they deserve. Life is too short. Why sit here and call names at others for personal problems or calling names because someone tried to tell them to stop and got the charge wrong and there is no need to to insult anyone. But if you are on here talking bad about a particular person and using there name you will have the chance of paying for your crime.
