I was told that if they have probable cause to believe that a person lives there, they can search the home. He did not stop them or tell them they had the wrong address. What's the big deal about the search, since you said they didn't find anything but a pipe. I think the lawyer is milking!!! I'm with you on finding the right person. I don't want anyone sent to prison for something they did not do.

Yup. Why would he stop them he had nothing to hide. There is no big deal about where they searched or what they found. Eric has given them anything they have asked for and gone far and above to prove he is innocent. I cant really say allot here, the case is still pending. I belive they will find him innocent based the evidence. Its really sad for both familys. God Bless Bobby, his family and Eric.
I hope the truth comes out and the right person who-ever that may be is put away for this crime.
Until then i still like to belive in our system of innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The same system id want to work for me if this was my father, brother or son.

It is a BIG Deal, that is one of the MOTION file by the lawyer. Instead of finding out what and where about Eric at the time, the lawyer is wasting time on the search. It costed every time a piece of paper is drop. So that "No BIG Deal" adds up.

Look Dawsonville or Wilson villa i know you have good intentions. But Erics family has to personally paid for a private investigator and lawyer to help find out who committed this crime. They have turned this information over the state and its investigators to help them. Going far and above what most normal people would do, what any innocent man would do. Its costing this guy who will never get a dime back to prove that he’s innocent. Its just the way it is. Do you think that the Ted Bundy and Charles Mansons of this world who have committed horrible crimes haven’t cost the states money? And still are.
My point is that, its not a waste of time. It’s the way out system works, like it or not. Anyone can be charged with anything. You then have the chance to prove your innocent in a court of law. No matter what the cost is.

If you don’t like it. Then try and change the way we convict people and how our system works. VOTE. Write bills to change our system in congress.

I bet you would want the same system to work for you if you where innocent and charged with a crime.

I personally don’t agree with our system as a whole. But its all we have.

I believe if someone commits a crime and is found 100% guilty. It should be a eye for a eye. I don’t like the fact that we house millions of people who will never be rehabilitated under our current system. Costing the American public millions of dollars. They come out harder and more violent then when they went into jail and statistics have shown they will continue to commit the same crimes.

But i do belive any man or woman should get a fair shot at proving they are innocent. You cant put a vaule on that.

You have got to be a family member, I didn't hear anything, about, being put off on the news. Or was it just some more motion being filed. That's normal, just more money being spent. Have to get use to it. It want be the last time. Buzbee's lawyer will put it off too. That's how they (courts and lawyers )get rich.

I hope i never find myself at the mercy of the court system. I was once told that the only differnce between sitting in jail and being free was allot of money.

Not all dates set make it on the news. Unless some trash is being talked.

Actually, Eric's lawyer didn't bother showing up to the hearing. The state has a constitutional obligation to provide a speedy trial. Go read the search warrant report online and tell me again that Eric doesn't have some explaining to do. Even his friends told police that he confessed to the atack and also planning to do it before hand. This is all public record.

Eric's defense attorney is trying to be a fly in the ointment. He is contesting the discovery and the legality of the search warrant as signed by the presiding judge. He didn't even show up for his own motion hearing. Expect the trial date to be announced soon. The defense's case is that one of Eric's "drug dealer friends" did it and they have evidence to prove it. If they have that info, they are obstructing justice right now and his attorney is padding the bill by not coming forward with the evidence. What a joke...

As long as people use Topix to make completely false statements, I feel an obligation to reply with the truth. Unfortunately I totally agree with most of your posting. My post was a way of making a JOKE about someone who is utterly ignorant to the situation, and still insists he has “INSIDE” information. The truth is that they have no insight, beyond what they have heard from friends. Come on, really, I would rather hear about the alligator poaching or the drug infestation in our community than a total lie. Please get a shovel and dig up more of the family’s rotting bones. I’m waiting for this case to go to court just like everyone else. The truth will come out no matter what it may be, but until then I will post my opinions whenever I feel the urge. With respects to the case that is still under investigation.

Wow this person who wrote to poor insider really thinks they know it all about this case don't they. Everything that I have read on topix about this case includes them going off on anyone else with an opinion. They say that they have the truth. If they have the truth let them go to the authorities with it. Otherwise it sounds like just another opinion to me. Let people post their thoughts without you thinking you know it all. Is he or she on Beck’s or the states prosecution team? Did they 911 you with all the inside information and forget to tell everyone else? It really sounds like you need to go talk to the police about your “opinions” as you know some much inside information. What are your facts based on? I never said I had the truth or I didn't have the truth. And I'm not judging. I'm simply stating the facts that I see. You want to disagree with everyone elses opinion planly stating that they are all false statements. Who is to say that your statements are so true?
