Ellis is two faced. I wouldn't hire him, unless you didn't have money for a good lawyer.

I hired Mr. Leonard after my attorney left me hanging. He did more in one court appearance then she did in 9 months. So glad he helped me out!!

I've used Gillis as a lawyer twice and like on his commercials; he won't tell you what you want to hear, he will tell you the way it is. He was very straightforward and yes he bullshits in the courtroom, but when it's time to do business, he gets it done! It seemed pricey...$50 for a consultation and $5000 for complete defense from start to finish. He will tell you all upfront. His secretary is priceless!

As for the judges...I've noticed that if you follow their directives and are respectful and polite, they usually go with what you want or need.:) Hope this helps you make a decision.

A topix about Attorney Gillis Leonard, where to begin. How about his atrocious appearance and highly un-professional since of work ethic. He puts on his radio show, how Law Enforcement is scared of him and how he fights so hard for clients and wins . If you check court documents, his ratio of wins and losses is more weighed in the loss area. An from Law Enforcement Officers I have spoke with, they are rather happy to see that Gillis Leonard is the attorney, because they know they are about to win the case. Ok Attorney Leonard you said to news reporters for the murder re-trial in the Steve Rios case that and I quote you’re an attorney that describes himself as a “bulldog” and a “good ol’ country boy lawyer”. So Attorney Leonard what was the verdict in the Re-Trial, oh that’s right Steven Rios found guilty. I guess the bull dog that day did not have much bark. As a Princeton University graduate, I attended University with subjects who were majoring in business that could give you better representation then Attorney Leonard. The Missouri Bar Association says that all license Attorney must hold high Professionalism. Attorney Leonard I don’t feel they mean that you always must smell of alcohol. That being said, I feel you would be wasting your time and money attempting to retain an attorney such as Gillis Leonard.

So you're faulting Mr. Leonard for not getting that Steven f**king Rios nutjob acquitted??? That’s ridiculous. Rios still deserved to have a tenacious attorney on his side, but once you educate yourself with facts about the Steven Rios case you'll find it would be virtually impossible for him to be acquitted.

As a matter of fact I'm well knowledged in the event. I believe he should have been punished for that crime, Attorney Leonard however got the apeal based on hearsay evidence and still could not win his case.

He is a worthless drunk and a waste of money. Rule number one when picking an attorney. Don't waste money on someone who attended anything less then a private college.

Gillis Leonard doesn't care whose lives he try to ruin to win. Might give you a pointer Gillis, get the right story; don't call in a drug dealer for child custody cases. Drug dealers lie, cheat and steal. Guess what, Gillis lost the case.

You met him on the street and he is nice to you and then stabs you in the back. Next thing you know he will be representing Lisa Penrod.

Yes, Rios should not have been acquitted. Question, why would he have ever hired Gillis Leonard in the first place. wouldn't you want a good professional lawyer?

It shouldn't be us against the cops. Unfortunately, the worthless of the world have taken cheap shots and killed good men and women. Now, they're taught to be some type of military unit in school and when they get out, they look at everybody like they're some form of criminal.

They pulled my Mother over a few years ago and I tell ya, it was a complete joke the way he treated her. Funny thing was his "tough guy" partner was on my side of the car awaiting on me to "MAKE A MOVE" I guess. She was taking me to pick up my serviced car. Broad daylight. Sunny. Two extremely White-White babies. I laughed so hard, I thought I was gonna piss my pants. She had a bible between the seats, and a flowerly little post it note pad that read, "Smile, Jesus Loves You."

RIOS: Completely insane and Guilty as charged. Never a doubt in my mind. I watched the enitre case.
Leonard: If you rob from the Boyscouts, or get busted with 45lbs of pot, or a giant baggie of coke, or you take money from a bank, or whatever the hell you stupidly did, Including drinking and driving (don't do this, because the police love to take you to jail for having an order of onion rings and a few beers. I think it's like liquid cocaine to them or something. Maybe commission), it's gonna be difficult for any attorney to get you off SCOTT FREE, MORONS!

Attorneys: The idea of being Matlock was probably great growing up. However, when they got to college, they realized they had to make the bucks in order to pay for outrageously and overpriced liberal schooling. Oh, and if they want a woman, they gotta drive a car that says "CrymPays" (or whatever)on the license plate.

Know-it-Alls: Suck, including me!

Solution: Lighten up police. Wave at people, smile. There's a pretty Moberly Policewoman that has a great smile. And the jolly, heavier set fella always waves and smiles, too. Take some lessons from these two on how TO BE CIVIL, you Wyatt Earp-a-bees.

Criminals: Stop

As I have used Mr. LEONARD. I can give my opinion. As a person I liked him from the start he cared about my daughters well being as if it was his own. But caring for ur clients and delivering results as promised are two different things. I was left high and dry as he screwed up all threw my hearings depositions and failed to meet almost all deadlines putting me in contempt for not providing documents that he clearly never asked for or prepared for court. I was very heartbroken and shocked with the outcome as he was always so gun hoe on the law was on my side and it would all be okay. But it wasn't and still isnt.
