I'm not a big fan of either. Walmart is so over rated and there's so many rude people at bratchers. Especially the deli, they get something wrong and then say it's my fault. But what other choice do we have?

We used to have several. IGA, Bratchers, Food 4 Less, Gree Hills, etc. That all changed when Wal-Mart buil their super center and ran them out of buisness.

The day of the Mom & Pop shops are gone. It's sad to say. The day where you were trusted on a personal charge account. They day when you needed just milk and eggs. You'd send your child to the corner to pick those up for you. You could do this because it was just blocks away and the world was safe enough for them to be unsupervised. Those days are gone.

The only reason bratchers stays open is because people don't want to have to drive all the way to Walmart. Lol look at all the people in bratchers. A lot of them live in a crap house around the corner.

I don't see that at all. In fact, just the opposite. I see upper class snotty old women during the day. Then afternoon /evening I see hardworking people stopping in to do their shopping or just grabbing milk and eggs, maybe cashing a payroll check, paying their electric bill,or maybe buying a lottery ticket in hopes of getting out of this shit hole town. I happen to live in a modest home in the near blocks and do enjoy the convenience of its location. I hate to pay those extra cents. Their prices are higher but hell what i'm saving on gas not going to Wal-Mart and the time saving factor makes it balance out. I love the fact that it is locally owned and has stood its ground to Wal-Mart, for whatever reason. Their shelves are stocked, its clean and it services are needs. I however am a fan of Aldi. They are the cheapest and they meet my families needs. Their shelves are stocked and checkout lines move right along. I don't mind shopping there. I can get in and get out and not have to deal with anyone. Just the way I like it.
