What does it say about a person's character when they do or do not believe in God? Some say non-believers have to be insane or ignorant to think the way they do, but others say the same about those who participate in organized religion. Many non-believers say scientific facts can't be ignored, but devout believers of every persuasion insist the concept of faith needs to be embraced. Concerning Christianity, when you learn that someone does or does not believe in Jesus what is the first thought you have about that person?

Who cares what a persons belief system is based on.
Why would I? You can worship dog turds rolled into little balls,as long as it doesn't effect me or my family.

Thomas Jefferson had a quote.

"But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are 20 gods or no god. It neither picks my pocket or breaks my leg"

Honestly, my first thought about somebody who talks a lot about God is that they're not too bright. Especially if they talk about God as if "he" is another person just like us that somehow knows everything like Santa Claus.

Well that is exactly the problem. It can totally affect you and your family. The easiest way for these politicians to get dumb people to keep voting for them is to appear to be faithful Christians, so we end up having religious folks as our lawmakers. To me Bible stories sound like ignorant stories that were made-up to explain things before we knew better. Well now thanks to science we do know better but people still hold on to these ridiculous beliefs. I for one don't want laws passed in accordance with these same ridiculous bible stories.

Laws are not passed based on religious biblical lore. People are people, some believe in a high power and others believe in nothing at all!

People don't want laws based on Bible stories any more than they would want laws based on fairy tales.

We the people who vote on the laws are the guilty. We the people all have different believe values and/or Gods and we base our votes on our beliefs so...
The politicians like we are people so...
and there you go, it's not the religion it's the people and we all have different ideas, thoughts and beliefs.
In a perfect world it would be different, maybe better, maybe not.

People who believe in this stuff don't want to hear it but to believe in a man in the sky who knows everything that will ever happen to every person in every place at every second of time is hilarious. People hold on to these beliefs and when you ask about proof they tell you about things in the bible, some of which are about Jesus but were written by other men hundreds of years after Jesus supposedly walked the earth and were then translated hundreds of times into all kinds of different languages, potentially altering the meaning of every word. How do people still believe this stuff???

Politicians have to convince people they believe all this religious nonsense, but come on. If they're smart enough to get thousands or even millions of people to support them then they're way past being smart enough not to believe in fairy tale magic shit. And I sure as hell wouldn't vote for them if they did!!!

I am beginning to think Ralphey needs to put the crack pipe down and sleep it off, dude your comments just don't make any sense what so ever. You've made made comments on different posts and you just don't seem to be right in the head man.
You and rlc should get together. From what I can tell of her, she gets around and from her post I can tell she's about the same mentality, hence nothing she posts makes sense and/or is very disturbing. She would be a good companion for you.
