Is Westley Coleman kin to that Michael Coleman that was in the news here a month or two back for kidnapping and assault? Remember he and some of his 'friends' decided to stuff a girl in a freezer and beat on her, one of them raped her even though not the Coleman dude some other guy. They were meth head too! Stupid people!!!

As the ex husband of Heather, should be Muller not Riffel since the divorce May of 2011. She never updated her license with DoR and is still charged as Riffel, thats another annoying issue. The sad part is this has been an ongoing issue I've been fighting almost since the divorce but nobody would help until now. The condition of the home was unbelievable. The good is now my daughter has been placed with me and that custody is in the works, donations for lawyer fees accepted lol. Yes, its up to me to go back to court to get that changed. Her brother has been placed with his father. We have already made arrangements for them to still have time together and with the grandparents involved also. The other minors were children of the other adults charged. There is so much more to the story along with other charges and drug involvements not mentioned. The good thing is it looks like I may get the custody I seek but the costs are overbearing but we are doing all we can to be sure our children are safe from such things at all times. My daughters safety is worth more than any thing else material or otherwise. The worst part is no matter what my daughter has lost, so to speak, a mother she misses and loves very much. Despite all this we shall prevail.

I did finally did get sole legal/physical custody, so no worries there.

What I don't understand is the punishment for the above. As I understand it she is facing 5 to 45 years for a class b felony and 4 class c felonys. I have heard they are offering her 120 days which she will be right at by her next court date that included a furlough for 30 days in drug treatment program. I just find that a bit too lenient imo.

I never understood with 7 juveniles in the home why there was never endangering charges filed?

I would have to agree with you on that Vic, 7 children in the house and no endangering charges?? Seems to me like someone might be leaking out the mouth to let charges slide away...which makes me even more irritated with the justice system! We are supposed to be protecting children...where is the protection here? Seems to me like she had no business having her children as her door was kicked in along time ago when she was with her ex...FOR COOKING METH! Im very glad to hear your daughter and her brother are in safe homes with people that love and care for them. I give you BIG props, alot of men these days are not there for their children and it makes me very happy to see there are still decent dads out there willing to make a stand for their children. I hope you and your daughter live happily and peacefully :) And for your ex, she needs to rott in prision!

Thanks for the kind words.

There was a prior bust, Highway Patrol, at the home for growing marijuana in the basement that was back on December 27, 2011 but our daughter was with me at the time despite that I tried to get all agencies involved at that time to no avail. Those charges were being held back at that time for the snitch deal but then this bust on April 15th, 2012 they went ahead and added the prior charges along with a couple others from before any of this and they have basically all been rolled into one punishment so to speak.

As anything prior to this as you mentioned I have no knowledge and she has no other charges from before this stuff and is probably the only reason she is getting off easy which imo is lucky. Lucky her mother is going broke paying Gillis that is.

I do not know all the details but have heard a bit more of what she is getting, time served for prior charges to drug busts, then 120 days for the drug charges and probation afterward. So she will probably be out sometime this November, so basically 7 months with 30 days of it in rehab, plus that probation officer looking over her shoulder for a few years. Not sure if any time will be backing it up though.

Her son was put into custody of his father but due to circumstances was given to his great grandmother by child protection services. The poor kid has been through hell with both his parents and was a bit much for grandma to handle so now he is with an aunt in the stockton area but the kids do talk on the phone at least once a week still and from what I hear he is now in stable, enjoyable, and safe home. Excited about school and football. I just wonder when/if child protection will give him back to her. No legal custody has been granted with him.

Trying to start over with basically nothing now is going to be hell and I can't even imagine what its like losing ones own children on top of it all.

My daughter talks to her mother on the phone once a week and sends her pictures in the mail as the kids cannot visit her but it doesn't replace what she has lost. I don't wish her to rot in prison or anything but it is time to straighten up and until that time it is going to be a long hard road to travel. One that I do not envy.

They need to bust Shawn Mink's ass at 400 Monroe for selling drugs and foodstamps; what a waste of our tax dollars supporting her.

Don't think Michaels last name was Coleman.
