Get Mrs. Vanderburg off the board and many of the troubles will disappear.

Actually, wether you like her or not, Vanderburg seems to understand the legalities of the the Boards responsibilities and atleast tries to follow the rules.

Now, you want to talk about useless? Mr.Asbury has no real input or backbone.

Bobby Riley and Jeff Lawrence both need to go.

New faces--vote in more competent people on the Board.

Do you know if you have to be on the Board for three years? What if you have to move because of your job?

One thing is for sure, if one of our daughters were reported for sending "dirty" pictures out to upperclassman at the High School, pretty sure our kids would get into trouble. Also figure that everyone would hear about it.

Notice how quiet and hush hush this has been when its a School Board Member's child..........

Rules certainly do not apply to everyone, now do they? School Board member's kids seem to get their "descrepencies" covered up.

If you want the same results that you have been getting---then do not vote.

If you want CHANGE and to better your community, apply for the Board or at the very least, VOTE< VOTE,VOTE.

Vote new people in. Vote people that will stand up and not follow the others.
Vote for someone that has experience in the schools. with kids and Teachers.

Here is what is wrong with our current Board:

They are like sheep- they follow blindly
They have no backbone and will not stand up against the rest

They have no real leadership
They have no one with legal experience or an Attorney on the Board

They do not include the Public or welcome their imput
There is not consistency

The employees do not trust them to do the right thing because they are inconsistent
They are to be the voice of reason and make good decisions but instead, they protect their own

Why construction was not done in a timely manner on the High School and why it was not done by the beginning of the school year (should of been required in the contract) is beyond me. ESPECIALLY, since our current School Board President owns a Construction Company! Wasn't someome monitoring the progress and on the phone demanding work continue during the summer when the building was empty?

How the hell can you be the Board President and own a construction company and yet, you have our kids running around in a loud, unfinished school with plastic up ?(great for asthma sufferers)? Our kids are spending the day in a construction site and that is ok with everyone?

Its not good for their ears or their lungs!

Doug: Every good debate has people in the audience that ask questions to the panel, now don't they?

I just wonder if the current members would be willing to answer them.

Didn't the School Board vote to pay a company owned by one of the Board members to do some work at the school? Didn't this Board Member profit from being a member on the school Board, which is against the law? Didn't this membe skirt the law and try to make it look legit by sitting out of the vote and yet all of the other members voted to give this members company the job?

Wouldn't this member know the amount of the OTHER bids and therefore, know to submit a lower bid for the job?

Did this happen? Is this true, because this is the way I remember it. Do you know Doug?

Doug, since you do realize that tommorrow is the first day that applications are being accepted and you are trying to figure out if I am applying....lets just say, I am sure that you will be advised when the application is picked up at home office.

Additionally, I cannot wait for the debate in a public forum.

Its been a mess out there,. Using other areas of the school to hold classes in. I cannot imagine. Machines making all sorts of noise.

Like someone else said, this was not damage from a storm or fire, water line breaking , where the damage had to be repaired immediately and could not be helped. This should of been done during the summer. Does anyone know why it was not? Why the school set quiet during the summer?
Seriously

Have you heard who is going to run? Are Riley and Lawrence running again? Please, someone/anyone run for the School Board.
