I am new to Mesquite, married female 56. Looking to chat and make friends with those who share same interests such as riding ATV'S, walking, movies, shopping in Vegas or St. George. Everyone I have meet are much older, inactive and retired. I am wondering if I even fit into this town. Any suggestion of groups, clubs, or activities?

It's hard to make friends here, at least for me. I suggest that you join Desert Dames and find an activity that you like. Another idea is to volunteer. I have met one friend that way.

There is an ATV club; that might be a place to start.

Ree,

I have been lucky to meet many people in my profession as a Realtor at ERA, but I understand how you feel.

I was just invited to Desert Dames, myself, it sounds like a lot of fun. Would you like to join?

56? You're too young for Mesquite.

After you've lost your retirement funds at the tables and slots, join the Mesquite toes and learn tap dancing.

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Taurus

Someone simply isn't being realistic or practical today, Taurus. He or she seems to be lost in a dream world of wishful thinking and idealism, none of which has much to do with what's really going on. Unfortunately, they won't want to hear any of this and may even manipulate the situation so they don't have to listen to your opinions. Be careful when dealing with this character and try not to get sucked into this desire to escape reality at all costs.
