there was nothing heroic or for americans to be proud of in the response to the boston bombings. the people of boston did not act heriocally. the government violated the fourth ammendment against unreasonable searches and serched peoples' homes unsuccesfully, i might add. there's a lot of rhetoric especially from our ineffectual president about how the terrorists ''failed.' i think the two thugs succcded in their goal. the people of boston cowered in their homes under an unconstitutional order from the governor. and all because of two foreign born thugs who were not very impressive. we had two foreign born thugs with strange names going around planting bombs and killing americans and getting into shootouts with police. that's what mass immigration has done for us. rest assured that this will not stop the immigration zealots, who think immigration is a good thing. the incident in boston is a prime example of why good decent law-abiding americans should be armed [with firearms.] this crap wouldn't have happened in mississippi or texas or anywhere else where the authorities respect the second ammendment. note that massuchussetts has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation, and yet these two idiots were abble to get guns, even though one wasn't even an american citizen. there were no ''heroes'' in this sorry episode. the police went door to door and violated folks' fourth ammendment rights and still didn't find the lone surviving culprit. a private citizen found him. the bostom police were ready to give up and declare that he had escaped. all this is just more evidence that the government can't protect americans. the ''patriot act'' is more about government power than about protecting americans. even 20 years ago when the first world trade center bombing happened, which was much worse that the boston bombing, the government didn't react by violating the constitution and the culprits were all lawfully constitutionally caught and prosecuted. i know the media has an inclination to make everyone a ''hero'' but there were no ''heroes'' in boston. the victims are just victims. they didn't do anything just by being victims. the best way to ''honor'' them is by a swift trail and execution of the lone surviving perpetrator. all these symbolic gestures done by folks around the country don't mean a damn thing. i hope americans like living in a police state, because we do now.
