this country is going to hell in a handbasket. there seems to be en epidimic of crazy. we hear there's a ''backlash'' against gun makers. what kind of sense does that make? what happened to personal responsibility? blaming an inanimate object for the acts of an evil person is crazy. we hear some gun stores are taking assault rifles like the .223 bushmaster of their shelves. this is spineless meanigless theater. those poor kids and folks are dead and crap like thjis is not going to bring them back. we hear gun stock shares are falling. have you seen the news or been to a gun store lately? gun sales are brisk and rising. i wouldn't sell stock in guns if i held some. the american people will continue to purchase firearms for the simple plain fact that they can't depend on ther government to protect them. to the media and the gun-control nuts, the rise in gun sales is a bad thing. maybe folks wouldn't be buying so many if the gun-control nuts would stop pushing for gun-control and folks weren't afraid guns would soon be restricted. these foolish naive people think all guns are bad, all people are basically giood, and that modern-day americans don't need guns for protection. they can call the police if they are confronted by criminals. ac woman who is about to be raped can call thje cops. no person need to own a gun. whagt a joke. we have seen how the gun-control nuts dreams of a ban on gun ownership works in places like new york and chicago. the criminals have guns, the law-abiding folks are defenseless. obama is talking about ''doing somethinmg about gun violence.' the only thing likely to be done is some superficial cosmetic gesture, like banning automatic weapons. automatic weapons are already banned. the ar-15 and the bushmaster are civilian versions of the m-16 and are semi-automatic. there are already laws banning felons and psychos from having guns, which of course are routinely ignored. the governor of tennesse has come up with the most logical reasonable thing i have heard out of all thjis anti-gun hysteria; place armwed trained security or cops at schools and public places. you never hewar of these nuts shooting up a police stationm or a gun show. guns are what will ultimately stoop gun violence, not more laws. in oergon, the crazed gun man put a bullet in his head when confronted by an armed person. gun laws didn't stop him. folks need to just calm down and stop all this irrational talk about banning guns. realistically we are not going to ban guns inm thjis country. those kids and teachers would have been helped if there had been a ttrained armed teacher or custodian. taking assault weaons of shelves, banning songs and postponing movies and tv shows is not goiung to help. abnd i don't want to hear a damn thing about violent movies and video games. most folks watch violent movies and play video games and don't commit mass murder. it's the gunmem's fault and theirs alone.
