I grew up with these kids, some of the people there to rescue, matt, at some point or another bullied and made fun of me too, I didnt feel the need to stab any of them. Its not a defense, even now studing it in pschology I can see right threw it. Do you know that the boys commiting the crime also dished out the same bs to mike? It's a fact of life. The problem I see is superior has nothing besides church and sports for the kids to do wich often leaves them with alot of drinking to do. Obviously they need something more proactive in their town.

While this whole story is sad, maybe its time for a wake up call among parents and teachers, as a former mineral county resident, we saw the same problems in the school systems that I feel is rampant throughout our country and that is: Children who are favored in school, because of their athletic abilities or the status their parents hold in a community, have the advantage of acting however they please, There is always the "children will be children attitude. Its time for all to teach a kinder/ gentler side, that success is not always in winning and being bigger, stronger and afleuent. The attitude that a person of any age needs to "man up " and take a beating is a sad way of life.

Thank you AShley!!! I to knew all these guys. It's a crock of bs to me. I got picked on by Some of the kids helping mike, dont really get how stabbing some one is a good excuse. Mike was a nice guy and a great athlete, he could have done great in life! I dont see why people can't just get help for their issues. I still after all this time can't believe that this happened in superior, It's just like the deal with Kelly jo Woodard. People moved to superior a long time ago to stay away from this kind of stuff. I guess not even small towns are safe from these kinds of Evil.

First of all, go back to school and learn how to spell. I don't know if you realize it or not, but you just made yourself sound so ignorant! These boys were in no way defending themselves. Matt did not have any weapons- so what exactly were they defending themselves from? What it really boils down to is that your cousin and his little friend are a couple of pussy's who can't stand up for themselves. What were they doing with knives on them? Nobody I know carries those kind of knives on them on a regular basis. Joslin and Mahur were just a couple of punks (not victims) on a mission. Matt was not a bully. If you really knew him you would know that. The defense are the ones who put that crap in everyone's head. The only reason Joslin got off was because the prosecution could not defend Matt's character. If you ask me, they both deserve to rot in prison, but obviously that isn't going to happen. However, I am content knowing that they will rot in hell for all eternity! They so senselessly took the life of a beautiful person who had so much to offer this world.

Bo I find it really funny that your going to sit there and try to talk down on Jesse. But the truth is you didint have to much to say when you saw him in the county jail! Inbred famly huh good one, well guess what for who ever that wants to talk crap. Jesse is out and turned his life around, there wer young. Kids... And I know that they regret even going to that party. But that isn't the case. he didint have to plead gulty. but instead a young man bucked up!! and took the responsibilitys for his part in the matter. I'm sorry for who ever that's still upset, but do you think this is what Matt would want. is for us to still live in turmoil? and keep going on about how he died$ or do you think maby he would want for us to enjoy what we had when he was still here.

Sadly most of the teenagers in Superior suffer from fetal-alcohol syndrome.
