My Letter to the Site
by
Jeffrey Havard
I am overly pleased that the debate of my case is continuing on this site, However, I am frustrated because it appears the majority of the discussions are not primarily focused on what this case is genuinely about, i.e., no intent in the death; what caused a 1 cm, bruise, which the State claims is evidence of sexual battery, the underlying felony; Trial errors; errors by the prosecutor; and errors by defense counsel.
I know that my postings here are few and far between, By the time I receive postings from this site, they are several days old, And when I feel compelled to respond to any comments, it takes time to reply and reciprocate all of my thoughts and feelings into a comprehensive prose. Also, it takes additional time to send my letter to a supporter, so that person can re—type my letter and post it here. Some comments, I feel, do not warrant a response. But, rest assured, the ones I do reply to, will be done so candidly. If I ever offend anyone, please believe it is not my intent.
Go the the following web site for complete descripton of the case.

To Jeffrey Havard,
My name is Medina Scirocco. I doubt that you remember me for we only met once before you were charged and arrested for this crime.
I just want to say that there is a reason you have never been out of the custody of the law enforcement since Maddie passed on. I know the details of the story and am sickened to the fullest extent. I hope you stay impronsed for the rest of your life for what you did to that beautifl baby girl. I've always believed in my heart that you were probably doped up on Crytal meth but that is no excuse for you to do what you did. To ever let you have a taste of freedom again would be a crime.
These are my opinions and I am not the judge of you but one day you will come before a God who you will have to answer to. I will pray for you and your family as well as the family of Maddie because I know how horrible this has been for them.

The only thing that I know is that there must have been enough evidence to support the fact that you committed murder. You must not have been able to show ANY reasonable doubt and that is why you were found guilty. You are not the victim. The person you murdered and did not give the chance to live is the real victim. That being said since you probably did do it. I cant see how you live with yourself. But I guess the state will take care of that in a couple decades.

If anyone on this site thinks that just because the state said you were guilty and you were found guilty that that means you are guilty, you are very misguided.
Several men that were convicted on Stephen Haynes testimony, and sat on death row, were set free because they were innocent and the only reason they did not die in the death chamber is because the real killer's (in prison for raping another child)DNA matched up. Had it not been for DNA those two men would have died the death penalty. A jury is to decided guilt or innocence based on facts, not junk science and when the state has all the expert (NOT) witnesses and the defendant has none, the defendant loses. Just because a prosecutor decides someone is guilty of something and tries their best to make sure they are convicted, does not make it so. Isn't anyone interested in the TRUTH? It could be you, or a loved one, sitting on death row for a crime you did not commit. Former Parchman warden resigned because he had to pull the plug on a man he thought was innocent. iT IS MURDER, PLAIN AND SIMPLE, and the blood is on the hands of every citizen in this state.

A proper trial should be given to everyone. Fair representation is part of that. But to infer that, because Jeffrey might not be guilty, somehow affirms his innocence is fallacious. Treat him as a suspect still, he might be guilty of murder after all!

@ Joseph - Inferring that he may not be guilty? Are you reading the same thing I am? You judged Jeffrey Havard guilty in your comment. What happened to a proper trial? How much do you know about this case? Not much, obviously. How about you take the time to read the transcript of his THREE day capital murder trial? Look at the information out there about this case. Then come back...when you are no longer assuming.

You do not know the entire story, you have the right to believe what you want to.
There is new evidence that I can not talk about, this will all come out and you and others will see that he is not guilty.
It was a terrible accident what happened, but the only thing that he is guilty of is dropping the baby and that was an accident.

I would like nothing more than to be able to tell you that I told u so face to face once this hand has been played..... it is however, great that someone as mentally incompetent such as yourself can find a clan of followers to preach your word to.... even if it is a clan of convicts and baby killers.... anyway, I hope your miserable life lands u in hell so u can rot with ole Jeff.... good day asshole...

Jump forward six years and guess what? You had no clue. What whole story did you know? You listened to rumors and lies and innuendos, just like most did. But the truth of the matter is, we've had many experts look into the case. Jeff Havard did nothing to intentionally harm that child. You met Jeff once, you don't know him. And are you going to talk about JEFF doing meth? Seriously? You're calling her Maddie, which is to say that you are somehow connected to her or her family. Neither Jeff or Rebecca were drug tested that night. Maybe they both should have been. Let me tell you what happened, so you hear it straight. Rebecca was not surprised he gave Chloe a bath, because they talked about it before she went to the store. She threw up, probably because of the medicine she was on, and after he gave her a bath she was wriggly and slippery, and he lost his grasp on her and she accidentally fell. Period. He picked her up and lightly shook her back and forth (See infant CPR instructions from American Pediatrics). She seemed fine when he put her diaper on. It's called a "lucid interval", it is very common. He put her to bed. That's exactly what happened with Jeff. Now, since you knew so much six years ago, did you know what a very sick child, Chloe was?

Hey, Andrew, jumping forward to 2013, we now know that the state never had any evidence to qualify Jeff Havard for the death penalty. But they didn't CARE. They knew that there was no evidence of the underlying felony, the medical examiner says he does not now and did not then have that opinion. But they charged Havard anyway. Jeff very much IS a victim. Of prosecutorial misconduct. As much as that precious baby and her family are victims, but not of Jeff Havard. Chloe and her family became victims of the state of MS the minute that DA told them that Jeff had done something to intentionally harm that child. And they should be as mad as we are. It's all coming out now, won't be long. Jeff was also accused of SBS, and there wasn't the evidence to support THAT either. When Jeffrey Havard gains his freedom, look back on how you judged an innocent man to be guilty and deserving to die when you didn't know any more about it than "there must have been enough evidence" and "you must not have been able to show ANY reasonable doubt". Hell, he was 23 years old, like a deer in the headlights. He didn't have a defense to defend him. Just like the State did, you put the burden of proof on Jeff. You're no better than those liars.

Well, Billy Britt. I know your family was lied to, so I feel bad for you all. But that's exactly what happened. He looked in the grief stricken faces of the people you love and that DA lied to them. You'll see my other comments on here. I don't care to repeat them. But we have the truth now. And the truth will tell. The hand will be played. The question I have for you is, did you all know how sick that poor baby was or was that Doctor of hers just totally incompetent? I still wonder what the truth is about that. I am sad for you and your family. It's a terrible thing to lose a child. But times coming...

No, th fallacy was that he was charged in the first place. We know so much more now than we did several years ago.

He shouldn't be treated as a suspect because no crime occurred. Please read his full case @www.frreejeffreyhavard.org.
Ther is absolutely no evidence of guilt. Why treat him as a suspect?
