Are there no coyotes, bobcats or hawks in the neighborhood to take care of this problem? Or have they already shot the coyotes, and killed the hawks and bobcats who ate rodents filled with rat poison?

This is the same gated community that feeds these rabbits. Too bad that the city will not allow the true trouble makers in society, such as thieves and gang members, to be taken out this way.

Hard to say that this is bad, if they didnt shot the rabbits and the rabbits began to cause serious issues who do you yell at then? If the rabbits bagan to overflow into the streets and a driver swerved from hitting a rabbit and ended up hitting a child who do we blame? Rabbits are cute, but even they can cause problems... I say control the population.

Why was this put under the "Weird News" heading (online)? It's an entirely rational and necessary solution to a pesky problem.

A pellet gun? Sounds a little inhumane to me! These guys they hire must be snipers and catch them eating. Rabbits are hard to hit with a shotgun once they start running.
Going to be alot of wounded rabbits. I don't see 1 shot 1 kill.

My Pellet gun is a 1/2" group at 25 yards. Hit them in the brain and they stop in their tracks. The same people that are protesting this would have no problem if they were rats or ground squirrels. Rabbits are pests no matter which way you slice them
