Sorry, but there is nothing haunted about Mission Viejo. I lived in Laguna Hills for over 20 years, and my aunt still lives in Mission Viejo. The only haunted things close to there is Knott's Berry Farm or Disneyland's holloween haunt stuff. Sorry, but it's kinda boring there.

San Juan Capistrano has LOTS of haunted places.
I don't know if they still do it, but they gave walking ghost tours around the city. They're about as close to Mission Viejo as you can get!

MISSION VIEJO LAKE IS HAUNTED, MY SISTER USE TO LIVE ON THE LAKE AND WE WOULD HEAR GLASSES AND PLATES MOVING AROUND AT NIGHT IN THE KITCHEN. AND YOU COULD FEEL AN ICY COLD SPOT IN THE HALLWAY. ALSO THE GHOST CALLS OUT YOUR NAME.

I live in Mission Viejo. The previous owner committed suicide with a gas oven, and he has visited me twice. I can't agree with you that the city is "boring" at all.

Yes there are ghosts in Mission Viejo. I lived in a house there 27 years ago. The ghost that was there pinned my mother's arms down while she was sleeping, stared at my aunt while she was in bed from her doorway, and grabbed me in the hallway and yelled at me when i was sneaking back to my room, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, WHERE ARE YOU GOING!!!" in a demonic voice. I don't know exactly what street I lived on but I will find out soon and report back.

I lived in a haunted house for nearly ten years in Mission Viejo; nothing menacing, just a playful poltergeist. The house had no unusual history, either. Who knows where it came from?

Lake Mission Viejo may also be haunted. A boy I knew drowned there in 1995-ish and there were some strange experiences after that.

This area of Orange County is fairly prudish, and it's not likely you'll find public announcements about hauntings, but these things still happen. Keep talking to people and you're bound to find something.

I live in a haunted house in Mission Viejo. Occasional solid figures are seen. More often than not quick shadow movement. Two or three times an invisible human shape has appeared on the bedroom in the master and second master bedroom. Nothing horrible but certainly interesting

I used to live in Mission. More or less was raised there from 8 to 23. They have haunting, though none that are reported due to the richies that live in the area. Go out to Black Star in Trabucco Canyon if you got nothing to do and wanna treat. Blackstar is a road that leads back into the canyon and the rumors have been anything from Loonies and communes to Satanic rituals reported going on there. There is a lot of ritualistic markings all over. At night you get the creeps, but you are in the boonies nestled back, so carefull of the wild life. There is a guard rail and an area you can walk about during the day so no one messes with you. Kids Families, etc. Nights the cops patrol and won't let you back there. Happy Hunting

Hi! Does anyone know about 23668 castle rock, Mission Viejo? I had the strangest vibes while looking at this house, I believe it is truly haunted.

Not haunted, but one spooky landmark I'd like to check out is the house where Richard Ramirez (the Night Stalker) made his last attack. He ran off before he could make the kill, and ended up getting caught a day or two later in LA somewhere (I think,) but it was his last attempted victim before his arrest. I don't have the exact address (it's bookmarked somewhere but I can't find it at the moment,) but it's on Chrisanta Drive in MV.

Also was going to mention Blackstar, but it looks like someone a few posts above already did. I actually drove out there once, just randomly cruising around, before I knew about its reputation. Never saw anything but now I want to check it out again. I've only lived in the area for a few years. If there are practicing Satanists out there, I'd love to find them!

Looking beyond MV, another place I'd love to visit is Devil's Gate in Pasadena. There are rumors of hauntings and disappearances. What's most interesting is the connection with Jack Parsons (famed JPL rocket scientist) and his involvement with Thelema, Aleister Crowley, the "babalon working" and moonchild rituals. That goes into a lot of occult history that might not make sense if you're not a student of esoterica, but this stuff is fascinating. There's also some connection with Parsons and L. Ron Hubbard, but I don't know much about that.
