Letters: Children must be taught to think

Are our children being taught to think critically or to believe just anything? Both the liberals and conservatives on the Texas Board of Education have their own agendas about the history curriculum in public schools.

[Two Skills]

Problem solving and being able to communicate are the two basic skills that students need to learn at a young age. If you can communicate, you can read, write, spell, speak and think, socialize, get along. If you can problem solve you and analyze, see things from different sides, stay motivated to solve a problem, focus the mental aspects of focus. Without these skills, children are just zombies.

Just taking tests in the EPISD is not learning either skill. Just taking tests lets the administrators take credit for short periods of time and get paid well before they move on and do the same thing elsewhere.

I think that 'for starters' they need to ask their parents WHY they have to be 'driven around' in dangerous SATANIC SUVs. Don't these STUPID IDIOTS [children's parents] know SUVs are the most dangerous of vehicles to drive?

SUV Dangerous? If a ford focus and an SUV have an accident, which vehicle would you prefer to be in? I choose the SUV.
