Illegal aliens are a real issue. They are a drain on our ecomomy- they contribute very little and take as much as they can. If they can come over legally then I welcome thme- however if they break the law to get here the majority of them will continue to break our laws after they arrive. I'm tired of my tax dollars being spent to educate, house and provide free health care to these people.

Rudy should be more focused on other problems/issues that this country has, for example eliminate the "war on terrorism". Affordable health care, and perhaps EQUAL education for everyone including college. The U.S should be "BUILDING BRIDGES NOT BURNING THEM".
So you think the government should provide college for illegal aliens? Where do you think the Government gets it's funding- I'll share it with you- from the tax dollars of legal American citizens. I'd rather not pay to educate everyone thank you. It's hard enough to scrape together enough to educate my own child- and I don't qualify for any assistance. I make too much to get help, but barely enough to get by.

I could care less about your spelling. And as far as doing a job better- I guess that would depend on who you asked. They are still illegal and as an American citizen it is my opinion they should not be here. I will exercise my right as an American citizen and vote for/ support anything that will stop the illegals from coming/ being here.

Rudy ain't got a clue.

Using a virtual border? Let's see......devices detect illegals coming across. By the time someone is alerted and can get to the locataion, the illegals have disappeared.

And as far as the "illegals can do it better, faster, cheaper" crowd.....go jump in a lake. The only reason they will do it cheaper is because they don't mind working for less than minimum wage and living 15 to a 2 bedroom apt.(both of which are better than they would be getting in the cess pool called Mexico).

Most Americans want more than that.

Everyone is aware that thanks to those illigal immagrats the economy is sustaining for now. I don't think anyone is aware that the illegal immigrants are sustaining our economy, if anything they are draining it dry. According to some polls I've seen most Americans feel the same as I do, too bad if that offends you.

There is one on Fox Five regarding the deportation of illegal offenders in Cobb Co. And also on this forum regarding the German man who fled the country, there are far more posts against illegals than for them.

Add this to our Virtual Law Enforcement and we will be all set. Now we can say that virtually nothing happens.

The truth of the matter is...immigrants run this country weather you like it or not we are in every business possible and i am so sorry if we just do a better job then most we come here with the hopes of a better life and we strive to get it, like a old friend used to say "HASTA LA VICTORIA SIEMPRE" and i can't believe that after all the work we do for this country and after all the discrimination we take people still want us out...even after we joined YOUR army to fight a cause not of our own still we are discriminated against. but no need to worry all this will pass soon when the biggest minority becomes the known majority!

And i am sry dat i am not as 'educated as you are'and have as much class. But what i do have is something you will never have and that is 'HUEVOS' to stand up for what i belive and not be itimidated by your typical Educated white person <quoted text>
What makes you think I'm white. My parents are from Brazil and I speak Portugese. I never stated that you were uneducated and had no class. Read the string. You need to make your point based on logic not emotion. My parents came here legally, that's the key word. They didn't break the law or crash a fence. They followed the laws and became citizens. They refer to themselves as Americans not Brazillian-Americans or any other acronynm. Until you start acting like an American you will never be accepted, putting aside your misspelling and cursing.

Giuliani is an idiot. His "virtual" fence is a stupid and ineffective idea. It couldn't keep out flies, much less Mexican cockroaches. Bush's wire fence idea is little better. A fence is worthless against anyone with wirecutters, unless there are manned machinegun towers every 100 feet. Now THAT would be effective, but none of the candidates have the guts to propose that.

Giuliani's "don't ask don't tell" policy as mayor also tells the real story of how he would deal with the illegal immigrant problem. Advocating ignoring the law is an unacceptable position for a candidate for office to take. It is the job of a government official to obey and enforce the law, "always ask, always tell".

We need to make it a felony to hire an illegal, or to contract with a company which does. We should vigorously pursue those who violate the law by hiring illegals. We should make sure the message gets through loud and clear, hire an illegal, go to jail for a long long time.

i truly feel sorry for you guys. i wonder how many of you have ever gone trough the things we immigrants have. i would love to see any of you who have made such ignorant remarks to go try and make a life in any other country, have to learn a new language, have to learn a new culture, and get used to the new laws. its incredible how hard it really is to do those things and that is a life experience that i am certain that none of you have or ever will. you call us lazy and uneducated. i wonder what would happen if every immigrant is this country were to just stop working for good. that means no more grass cutting, building houses, cleaning offices, no more restaurants, chinese, italian, indian, brasilian, mexican, no more gas stations, no baby sitters, no taxi drivers or fast food restaurants.
how fast would this country break down? how desperate would you americans be? think about your current job. now imagine if every single immigrant just didn't show up to work tomorrow or the next day, or the next. i say a month would be more than enough to send everything back to 3rd world class. which this isn't 1st world anyway
so go ahead and think and say what you want about immigrants. fact of life is...without us there is no country!

We need to regulate the border. I don't think we need to completely shut it down. That being said it is very important to know who is in the country. Build walls/fences/virtual walls, whatever they have to in order to control the borders. Then we need to have a guest worker program that allows for the number of temporary workers that US businesses need. Once we can get legal workers under a guest worker program that will bring in the right kind of numbers, heavy fines for businesses that hire illegals ad deny services for illegals. That way it is incentive to go through the legal route. The government needs to put aside partisan politics and fix the immigration system so it helps the country.
