I'd love to see those old photos of South Bend.
I used to live in the area in the 40's and loved that city. My mother taught piano at the South Bend Conservatory of Music. I've published a children's novella ("Mannequins Among Us") which takes place in Robertsons' Department Store (loved that store!).

My mother, Miriam (Harbaugh) Boyer, was a secretary at the South Bend Conservatory of Music in the 1930's. As I remember, she indicated that it was located on the second floor of the building on the right in the photo found at:
