Superiority? Did I say that? The issue really isn't his courtroom anyway. It's his role as head of DCS and his smacking his grandkid. But since you brought it up, how could anyone really know since his courtroom was juvy and reletively secret by nature.

Again sinc you brought up the courtroom here's a blast from the past.

Judge Payne accused of bias. Juvenile court jurist gave lawmaker special access to legal system, official complaint says. A complaint filed with the state alleges Marion County's juvenile court judge gave preferential treatment to an Indiana lawmaker, including special access to the court in a case involving the lawmaker's daughter...
Payne held a hearing on the case on a court holiday without key court personnel present, including an attorney to represent the girl...
Payne could face a range of punishments if he is found to have abused his power in the Behning case, ranging from what's called a "private caution," or warning, to removal from the bench....

As I see it judge Payne is the good guy here. He has tried hard to keep the children in the home or with family as long as they are clean and no felonies. My problem has been with the dcs workers seeing them one to many times literally harrass innocent parents who have never done drugs, never been arrested, never beat their kids. But because these single moms have health issues dcs tried their damndest to remove the kids, this is big in Johnson co. Katie hall is a big dcs caseworker who only cares about how many kids she can take away. Thank God I know my rights after being harrassed for 46 days when the law states they have 30 days to close or substantiate a case she finally had to close it. I don't think judge Payne should be put down rather the piece of crap handful of dcs workers who only care about removing kids who are in safe loving homes just to get their quota in for the month. Those innocent parents would get justice from Payne. Glad I never had to see that day!! Sorry to see him go. He tried hard to help families to put them together with help not destroy them. That is on case workers they are the wrongs who make mistakes showing innocent parents guilty!!!! Good luck to you judge Payne!!!!
