Haitians hunting for dinner. Notice how few ducks and cats are running around down here the last few years, since the area has turned Caribbean?

Similar to the cat story in some respects. Get them and have the law deal with them.

amazing how powerfully a little spin can change a story.
i was looking up the iguana invasion recently, and the articles on that made it sound like the iguanas were evil, and had to be removed. truth is that for the 34 years that we've owned this house here, the muscovy ducks have been enemy number 1. they swim in our pool, poop on our deck, and refuse to keep a respectful distance.

but all the article focuses on is the "animal cruelty" issue. My mother has driven herself nuts for 3 decades battling these vermin. I cheer on the guy with the bow an arrows and invite him to my backyard..

Your a stupid ignorant loser! Look up Muscovy Duck you yahoo, its Gourmet Fare, theres farms in California that breed em for fine dining, I should put a nice blunt arrow between your eyes. Mucovy ducks are delicious and nutricious, we should be feeding the homeless with em!

Those ducks crap all over eveything and it gets on your shoes and into your homes. It is full of disease and not safe to live around. So, you decide.

these ducks are legal to kill "in a humane manner". So get some broadheads and keep shooting them! Get a pellet gun and shoot em, whatever you have to do... it's totally legal, something the Sun-Sentinel doesn't want you to know. As long as the ducks don't suffer much, you can kill them. If you don't believe me, contact the FWC. These ducks are an invasive and non-native species.

Someone needs to take a "gander" at the evidence and "quack" this case.

Our local and State goverment has ignored the cries from the public and failed miserably in addressing the terrrible nuisance and health hazzzard these ducks present. They infest neighborhoods in huge numbers, defecating everywhere. And, if you haven't had the pleasure of it on your property, trust me, it's in a whole different league then what a dog or cat leaves behind. Animal control should be rounding up these ducks and relocating them. I actually moved to a different neighborhood to escape the ducks, when animal control refused to do anything year after year. Eunice, if you want to help, rather than making a big fuss over a couple killed ducks, why don't you convince our government to relocate these menaces away from the human population, and that will solve this and the much greater problem of their presence?

These ducks are annoying but the main problem I have seen is that people feed them and then they hang around. But, killing them with arrows, that's sick. Especially, when they don't really fly well. Again, it starts with cruelty to animals and ends up with a shootout with innocent people getting hurt. This person needs help. Of course, let's put this in perspective. We almost ended up with Palin as the VP and we know how much she enjoys killing wolves from the air. I bet if she made it in office, we would all be killing whatever and whenever we wanted. oh darn, maybe 2012.

These ducks are a lot like Pigeons.

Sure they look cute, and foolish people, feed them.

but they pests and should be destroyed.

HOW to kill them is the missin part of this story.

-dirty little secret is governments kill peigons all the time.
so, why is it ducks get different treatement.

are we RACISTS against pigeons, and not ducks?

equal treatment to ducks.

alot of people don't realize that while the vehicles cannot come out-if at all possible you can capture the animal and they will care for it at rescue centers when you bring it in

they are low on funds like everyone else

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Taurus

It's no good - the prospect of visiting the post-Christmas sales has become too tempting for you to resist any longer. No matter what you're doing today, you'll try to squeeze in the opportunity to dash around some of your favourite shops and see what's on offer. You could snap up some bargains but you should guard against the urge to splurge on items that you don't really want or need. The price of something may have been slashed but the acid test is whether you'd still buy it if it were full price. If not, leave it in the shop!
