Then why has the IRS reported an annual surplus of $15B from undocumented workers? And why have recent studies concluded that each immigrant (regardless of status) contributes an $80,000 surplus on average over the course of their lifetime to the system? And the fact is, immigrants do not get benefits. The "anchor baby" argument does not fly because the benefits these children might receive still very much underweigh the contributions of their parents who receive nothing.
The anti-illegal immigration argument is so hypocritical - one one hand they're so crafty they're stealing all our jobs and on the other they're so lazy they're sucking off the system. You know what it's called when you ascribe certain characteristics, especially negative ones, to a group of people? racism racism racism. And you always freak out about the race card because you know damn well it's true You speak of illegal immigrants as if they are a whole separate class of human being, and regardless of whether you say you don't care about their race, defining someone as an "other" is racism, plain and simple.

We're talking about illegal not legal. Don't bunch them together. They do not contribute more than they steal, they hide it. They claim not to be married and go on Medicare and wic. They don't pay hospital bills, that's why we have had so many close. So stop the La Raza lies. They are theives plan and simple and need to be thrown out.

Illegal is transitory: you can come without papers and acquire status, or you can come legally and overstay and fall out of status.
Over half of people here that are undocumented came legally... so how can you really differentiate between legal and illegal?

The undocumented workers are here because so many in the US take advantage of them, and won't let Congress take action to come up with a fair solution to the illegal immigration issue. If you eat meat, chances are you financially benefit from low wages associated with undocumented workers, every time you go to a grocery store or restaurant. The conditions described in Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle" are back a century later. Unfortunately, there is no President Teddy Roosevelt to be enraged, and the public doesn't care about the tainted meat they eat.

While some undocumented immigrants pull more out of the taxpayers than they put in, it is only a small percentage who do so. The far bigger problem is the employers who effectively pull taxes out of their paychecks, but don't turn those moneys to the IRS and FTB (or other state agency).

You are so full of bullc.r.a.p. Here's the stats regarding illegal aliens just for Los Angeles. These were provided by someone that knows all about it.

10% of Los Angeles County residents are illegal aliens (the highest percentage of county residents in the country)

Illegal aliens cost the county greater than one billion dollars per year in taxpayer costs, NOT COUNTING EDUCATION.

Breakdown:
$444 million for welfare and food stamps
$400 million for health care
$220 million for correctional services, law enforcement and other public safety costs.

New statistics from the Department of Public Social Services reveal that illegal aliens and their families in Los Angeles County collected over $37 million in welfare and food stamp allocations in November 2007, which is up $3 million dollars from September.

Children of illegal aliens receive 25% of welfare and food stamp money.

---Mike Antonovich, LA County Supervisor

So please, don't give us that same old tired B.S. about how illegal aliens give back more than they get. The receive a Hell of a lot more than they give back.
