Jehovah's Witnesses believe that their Watchtower (Jehovah's) organization is the only true Christian faith.

They believe that the truths of scripture were lost through a great apostasy centuries ago until God used JW founder Charles Russell to restore the Gospel.

Jehovah Witness share some doctrinal beliefs with Christianity, but many of their beliefs either completely contradict,or at least pervert Biblical truths.

Some of these are as follows:
Only 144,000 go to heaven, two classes of Christians,Michael Archangel is Jesus, works based salvation by door to door 'placement' of Watchtower literature, ban on whole blood transfusions but permitted to use components as fractions..

Theologically,Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult of Christianity. The oppressive organization does not represent historical, Biblical Christianity.
Sociologically, it is a destructive sect whose false teachings frequently result in spiritual and psychological abuse,as well as needless deaths.

What surprises me is that so many people believe so many outrageous things in the name of religion. It's like we never left the Dark Ages!

THE HYPROCISY OF RELIGION

A Christian believes Jesus to be God through faith.

What is faith; to believe without proof?
However the same Christian stops the faith process and rejects the 99.9% of other gods worshipped by other religions around the world.
The Christian will even go as far as stating that the other religions are not true because they lack any evidence to support their beliefs. Suddenly the Christian is 99.9% skeptical about FAITH. The Christian even uses the same atheist philosophy that I use to support their lack of belief in the other hundreds of gods.
When a Christian is question about the validility of Jesus then the Christian hides behind “it’s my faith and I have a right to believe what I ever I want syndrome”. Or the Christian will resort with fact less claims to support their god, then they are forced to forfeit Faith which is Christian Sin. Have you ever heard of a faithless Christian?
Christianity requires salvation through faith not facts. Once a Christian rejects faith and starts to use examples to support their beliefs; they are doomed to their own infernal. It appears that the biggest sin in Christianity is to think.
The hypocrisy is so thick in religion it chokes me just thinking about it.

RC,
I wholeheartedly agree with you. There is hypocrisy in religion. Anyone who argues that is foolish. Based on your writings you obviously know you have free will to believe as you wish. If you believe in one or all of the other 99.9% of the gods worshipped in the world that is up to you. How is that working out for you? If you believe in no god(s) at all, how is that working out for you? By the way if you believe in no god(s) than by deductive reasoning when tragedy comes to your life (it comes to everyone at sometime in their lives) whom will you turn to for comfort and guidance. That person or thing just might be your god. If you can handle your own tragedy and circumstances and that of the people you love by yourself, with your own wit and reason, you’re a stronger person than anyone I have ever come across or known.

To Nice Guy

I guess I am the strongest person you ever met.

Needing comfort from an idea of something invisible in a time of grief does not make it real. No doubt a child who believes the tooth fairy will give him comfort through money left under the pillow is comforted by the mythical idea. I don't argue that these childish ideas don't serve a purpose, but I argue that they are not real. Jesus is based on faith which means to believe without proof, which is no better than a child who believes that Santa Claus will come some day. Why do you think Religion is faith based and not evidence based? Religion itself yells it out to you that they lack evidence in all their non sense.

Religious briefs?
They better not have my face on 'em!
Last thing I need is some facocta religious nuts printing my likeness on their underwear!
Don't make me come down there - I'll go Noah's Ark again on all your asses, if I have to!

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Cancer

If you thought yesterday was fraught with tension the temperature rises a few notches again today, as Mars turns retro in your house of finances and values. What's eating you? Maybe you're annoyed because your spare time is being eroded by duties that are weighing heavily on your shoulders. You might also be miffed by the flippant attitude of a certain person who you think should be taking life a lot more seriously. Calm down or you'll blow a gasket.
