Noticed a bunch of cars at the "old" Aurelio's at Ridge and Mondamin Saturday night. Sign said open, so I stopped to see what was going on. New restaurant is open for business, no signs out front yet. Called Geno Angelo's, original location in Lombard. Their website is not working now, but the lady inside gave me a menu: pizza, pasta, some seafood, chicken and ribs.

Went for dinner on Sunday, the hostess seated us, and handed us their menus. She explained that the menus are from their Lombard location, and that most things on the menu were $2-3 more. What a way of roping you in!! Essentially our meal should have been $10 cheaper then it was. Whatever, if the food was good I wouldn't have cared how much it was. Furthermore, I have a hard time believing that Lombard's prices are $2-3 cheaper than Minooka prices!

Wow. I agree, if they were going to raise the prices, they should have printed new menus. I would have been turned off to sit and read the menu and then have that dropped on me. Was the food good though? The service?

We went there with the kids the pizza was pretty good , the waitress's are to young ( alot like Aurelio's )and nervous . The hostess / manager seems really cranky maybe she is just working to much starting up .
I agree about the prices they forgot to mention that to us until the bill came . You don't hand out menus with one price and then tell customers oh the prices are higher here though .
It seems like it might be another Aurelio's , hope not .

I agree that the servers don't have a clue .
(I think it's the owner)she was a server for Aurelio's and hasn't gotten any better how do you not greet your customers , just let us walk in and browse a spot TACKY.Nobody greeted us at the door .The food was good but the prices are a little high .The bartender is an older lady and some guy .

i plan on taking a couple of friends there on saturday night and if the service is what you guys say it is we might just head to giordanos. i wish the new place luck, but customer first service would be charging what the menus says or getting new menus.
its ok

Ordered from there the other night and got a bbq pizza. Not too bad. I prefer a "bold sweetish" bbq sauce compare tho their "tangy" sauce. Not too bad though.
Tonight though I ordered a sampler, chz bread and chicken salad with extra chicken.
Sampler- All very generic products. Poor wings. Meat tasted terrible. Poppers had no filling in them whats so ever. The Chz stick chz was not even cheezt at ALL. Tenders were ok but its pretty hard for tenders to not taste like tenders.
Chzy bread. Very smal loaf smashed together with chz in it. I guess its just not wht im used to seeing.
Salad. I ordered extra Chicken. I dont think I even got a full piece of chicken. The chicken that I did get most of it was over cooked. 2 cucumbers.
All in all. Very small portions on everything. Your beter off going down the street to Giordanos and spending a extra 5 to 7 dollars for better quality and bigger portions.
Probably never order frm here again. Unless maybe for a pepporoni thin crust, Hard to mess that up.

Finally good pizza in Minooka. Prices are fair. We have only had delivery, so I can't peak to the in house service.

So this was my second time there and I really didn't want to go back after my first time. However the service was much improved, the pizza itself was great the first time to. The server explained to me that they had some problems when they first opened. I had the Margarita pizza excellent cheese great sauce and great crust in perfect proportions. Much better then the old Aurelios but it seems like some of the staff is the same as the old one I wasn't happy about that. We also had the peppers and egg sandwich, it turned out to be truelly good, i was actually suprised the ingredients seemed fresh and its the best place to get one around here. I think they need some time to work out some kinks I'm just happy to have an alternative to Giordanos'. Our Giordanos is just not keeping up with its namesake

I went there again Friday , the food was very good .The waitress was very good even though they were busy . The only bad thing I could say is they need to clean under the booths a little better.

If anyone is actually interested in going back, I am going to be putting together the wines that will be in the place and knowing what you guys would like to see in there would be really helpful. Thanks!

Well first and last time for my family. We noticed the add in the paper today and thought we would try it out. I should have known right off the bat this was gonna be bad. Our watress was clueless. I even asked her if she actually worked there.
The big problem was as my wife who is 7 months pregnant ordered the Calzone. As I looked up I told her wait. After she had eaten a quarter of it I brought it over to the hostes. The pork sausage was completely RAW. The dough was runny. The mananger immedately asked if the baby had eaten any (our 3yr old). I said now but I am about to be sick. The told us over and over again we have insurance. I was credited for a calzone they didnt even take care of the bill. Now the waiting game to see if we get food illness. I called my wifes OB we will wait and see what happens.

first I would like to say that a lot of people only look for reviews when they find something wrong. My family and I have ate Geno Angelos pizza twice now and can only go back for more. The pizza is not greasy, the crust is crisp and the sauce and cheese are great. We have tried the buffalo pizza which is great and the standard pizza with meat toppings. As for the prices being higher I cannot compare I have never ate at the Lombard location , I am sure rent has a price difference, maybe the cost of heating or the taxes could play a role. Either way I would rather pay more for a good pizza then pay for a pie of grease.
The customer service aspect of this I cannot give a review I have not dined in yet. Maybe we will today for Valentines day. I do hope and pray for the woman who is pregnant that she does not get food poisining.

I would rather starve then ever eat from there. My husband and I ordered a pizza for delivery. Not only did it take an hour and a half to come it was the wrong pizza! Okay fine we call they say it would be over another hour before they would deliver again. Well that would be almost 8:30pm then. So we said forget it we were promised that the next time we would get a free pizza. I just called to get my "free pizza" and was told no. The wonderful Manager never put notes in the computer. The Manager now in charge said I could get 40% Well that is no longer the point. The pizza sucked and was soggy no flavor, and now this. So if I were you and driving by keep on driving. They are rude and liars!!!!

You all seem to forget that we already have a great pizza in town, Fat Boyz! This is one of the best tasting pizzas around, and they're an original not a chain. Keep the money in town and get a real good pizza.

Finally tried it. Called for delivery, so I cant comment on the dining room or its staff. Pizza came within a half hour and was right. Just not to my taste, though, sauce was kind of bitter. Someone mentioned Fat Boyz; they're nothing special either. We'll stick to Cemeno's. Not the greatest pizza ever, but one of the better we've found since moving to the area.
