Child reportedly killed in Minocqua restaurant fire

I have a 2-yr.old granddaughter and I was crushed to learn a little 2-yr. old lost her life in that fire.
Reportedly the firefighter who desperately wanted to rescue her was unable to do so because the fire kept him from reaching her.
How utterly sad for this little girl and her family. My heart breaks for them.

The family lived in an apartment above the restaurant. I saw a glimpse of the restaurant while in town this morning and it was totally gutted. The fire was obviously very intense.

That was my grandson that died in that fire and I'm very offended by remarks made by Mr. Carroll on local news station. He made no mention of human life but felt compelled to go home to retrieve his video camera and film the fire. This building may sentimental value to some, but without human life --it means absolutely nothing.

Agree and am very sorry for this poor child, yet you and Mr Caroll have lot to learn. Why did the State not take away this Child like the mother's other two, why is it you post what you had and not even mentioned that the soul that suffers is not your own for being offended, it is not about you it is the loss of a child that could of been saved many times before from the ongoing abuse of this child's drunk of a mother......Why is it no one stands up and does what is right until this happens , then we all talk about what we knew after the horrible event. My heart breaks for a poor child that died alone locked up in a apartment with no one to save him, his last dying breath , alone afraid, I can only pray God was with him. OK so you are the grandmother why did the State and the family not save him from this fate, child abandment. Your sick to surf the net and post what you had, hope you go forward and make ammends and contact the district attorney office or authorities to have her stop the abuse to anyone else.

So very sorry for the loss of your little grandson. I was mistakenly told it was a girl..no matter what, it was ever so tragic. I know the fireman who was trying so valiantly to save him was crushed by his inability to do so. My heart goes out to you.
