What's dishonest about it? You put your credit card in and buy gas at the price set in the pump. It's not like you get to set your own price.

Seriously, screw the owner for saying they are dishonest, what is dishonest is price gouging by gas stations and oil companies making billions at the expense of consumers

Nothing dishonest about it!

Period, the end!

If the dopey worker had priced it out at six bucks a gallon and people bought without noticing would the jerko owner look to pony up refunds?

I doubt it!

Here in America, we need to cut our umbilical cord to the pagan Arab nations. This here's God's country, we need to keep it so. The lord has blessed America by enabling us with all kinds of nuclear weapons and so forth. We need to use that technology to wipe the evil Muslims and Arabic animals off the planet. Pray for our leaders to have the strength to defeat and conquer the demonic Arabs so that we can take the petroleum God buried in their sands.

Bush Gives Legal Immunity to Transnational Oil Corporations in Iraq
July 28, 2003
During the initial assault on Baghdad, soldiers set up forward bases named Camp Shell and Camp Exxon. Those soldiers knew the score, even if the Pentagon's talking points dismissed any ties between Iraqi oil and their blood.
The Bush/Cheney administration has moved quickly to ensure U.S. corporate control over Iraqi resources, at least through the year 2007. The first part of the plan, created by the United Nations under U.S. pressure, is the Development Fund for Iraq, which is being controlled by the United States and advised by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The second is a recent Bush executive order that provides absolute legal protection for U.S. interests in Iraqi oil.

GAS WAR - an idea that WILL work

Here's the idea: Boycott Exxon / Mobil

For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.

You can call it/name it whatever you like. What people did is called stealing...period. If the gas station was smart, they'd pull every single card number from off the pumps during the time people took the gas and re-charge their credit cards. What is even more amazing is the station manager knew many of the people who where at the station getting the gas.
