Not really. Thanks to our conservative Republican politicians in this state, social services funding is constantly being slashed. This poor woman wasn't given the proper treatment and alcohol education she needs because of that. I don't blame her for this incident.

I believe she probably made too much money to qualify for any social services that would get her the treatment she needed.

According to the "News" there were 26 people arrested over the weekend for DWI. Why does this woman's name have to be plastered all over the media and not the other 25 drivers names as well?

This is a NON STORY. Leave the woman alone. She has enough trouble now.

Oh that's right it was the Republican politicians who tied her down and poured alcohol down her throat and better yet, forced her into a vehicle and held a gun to her head and told her to drive.

This isn't a non-story. A DWI happened to a crime reporter. Not only is it a cautionary news story, it's awash in irony. Mellow out. Maybe seeing her name in the news will give her the bump she needs to get her act together.

Good luck, Beth M.

I never am quite sure if we have a live one here, or if someone is having some fun at our expense.... ;)

Now the thing I was wondering is what does 'second degree' mean? Wish the journalist had taken the time to explain it for those of us who don't work in the criminal justice system.

Exactly! It's easy to scoff at another's misfortune, but most of us have done something that we wouldn't want the whole town / state / country / world to know about.

Is there any reason why Fox 9 has not done a story on one of there own yet. They are always quick to judge everybody else.
