I live in a complex with a number of bikers. Decent enough guys and somehow after a break in last year, all the Harley's parked in the garage has given us a much safer complex. They really don't bother anyone if you treat them like anyone else. Many years ago I took the ferry from Milwaukee to Michigan and on the return trip we had about 40 bikers on the trip. After a little antagonism from some of the older passengers, they pretty much took over the boat. Needless to say they were met by the Milwaukee police when we docked, but I never found out whether there were any charges. Like with any group there are a few real hard core types but mostly just guys who like bikes.

I once had a "Sons of Silence" biker pull up next to me on my Harley at a stoplight. He says to me "hey brother your harley is sounding a little rough", "sounds like it's only running on two cylinders". Then he started laughing at me, and he and the rest of his brothers took off ahead of me. The moral of the story? Harleys only have two cylinder engines. I sure as h e l l was not going to reply to his a s s!

Probably didn't want to be judged and stereotyped! Like most people do when they lump all people together.

I have read that many biker groups require patch holders to wear their colors 24/7. Lots of the supposed 1% clubs wear them for the shock value.

No, I believe it is a requirement when on your bike, and when on club business. And no, they don't where them for shock value. It is more for unity.

Many of the bikers are also members of the "He-man woman haters club" along with Spanky and Buckwheat.

On the other hand I know a lot of bikers who would kick your @$$ if they saw you strike a woman!

I was referring to the old spanky and our gang, maybe you don't remember the old television show. They had an episode where they made a club called "the he-man woman haters"", quite funny. But typical that a biker supporter would resort to the threat of violence the first chance they get. Clubs and gangs are for losers, enough said, who cares about them.

Hells Angels, SOS, OutLaws, all 1%er's want-a-be's

A true 1%er is the biker who loves to ride his bike no matter the brand, who does not give a shit what others think of him or his bike and needs no club/gang to take in his money every month in the name of brotherhood.

I personally never really thought too much about biker gangs like the hells angels until I read a couple stories about them fighting with a gang of mongols in California.

This is just terrible and sad to me.
Why are the hells angels fighting with and trying to hurt and or kill mongols?

I find this absolutely shocking.
Did anyone else even know there was a motorcycle gang of mongols?
I typically have always liked mongols, and thought they were harmless when they were bagging my groceries or wiping my table at McDonalds, even if they were at times a bit annoying trying to always take my french fries before I was done or mopping over my shoes.
But to think that there is an entire group of them that ride motorcycles is really surprising. Is this legal? Do they have driver's licenses?

I sure hope that Corky from Life Goes On isn't part of this group, I thought he was the greatest.
If he is, then Hells Angels leave him alone!

Also is it even much of a fight for the hells angels to beat up a mongol? That just doesn't seem right. Who are they going to choose fight next, paraplegics?

I am so sad now... Mongol motorcycle gang, this is just terrible...

I have read what the one sided reporter wrote and what the AMA has stated as to the meaning of what a 1%er means, and it is mostly hog wash.

A true 1%er knows what he is and does not need any club to tell him different.

If you have to ask the difference, you wouldn't understand the answer. Your problem has to do with stupidity.
