To be the amused slewche, or not to be the amused slewche, that is the question:
Whether 'tis Nobler in the mind to suffer
The Slings and Arrows of the outrageous bushwhacked,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of smart liberals,
And by opposing end them: to die, to sleep
No more; and by a sleep, to say we end
The Heart-ache, and the thousand Natural shocks
That Flesh is heir to?'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To die to sleep,
To sleep, perchance to Dream; Aye, there's the rub,
For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil, will any remember you were once the spell check princess of topix?

And Tom Wroblewski, president of International Association of Machinists (IAM) District 751, welcomed Conner as fair to the union and a product of Boeing's local heritage.

"He's passionate about the fact that he's third generation here at Boeing," Wroblewski said. "He's proud that he's from the Puget Sound area, and he wants this region to stay an aerospace region."

Many expect Conner, 57, to one day take the top job in Chicago when Boeing Chief Executive Jim McNerney retires.

The line of credit wasn't with the utility company, it was with a bank and guaranteed by the utility company. For the utility company to have to pay, the DNC had to default on the line of credit.

Gotta love you "Faux Hounds", you call a gift a default, because you cannot comprehend the DNC was good for the region...... They told shareholders LAST NOVEMBER.... "Duke Energy, which is headquartered in Charlotte, announced Thursday that it would forgive the Democratic Party of its unpaid loans, instead leaving shareholders to cover $6 million, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Duke spokesman David Scanzoni defended the company’s move to the Charlotte Observer, explaining that the impact on stakeholders was minimum at best.

“That’s a (large) sum of money, but it did not have a large impact to shareholders,” Scanzoni told the publication.“For most stockholders, it’s not on their radar.”

Scanzoni told The Huffington Post Friday that Duke’s involvement in the DNC was an “economic development event” for Charlotte.

Hmm, CEO defending a bad decision, take the blame for losing $10 million, a $6+ million hit to the balance sheet after tax write offs, or admit that backing the DNC deadbeats was a good decision, hmmm.....

The line of credit wasn't with the utility company, it was with a bank and guaranteed by the utility company. For the utility company to have to pay, the DNC had to default on the line of credit.

How could it be good for local business for the DNC to default at the bank 6 months after the fact again?

Let's see, the DNC was Sept 3-6 and the share holders were told in November ???

While you "call it", ".. 6 months after the fact again?"

Sorry pal, you're wrong, yet again....

The actual point was Duke supported Obama, but Koch Brothers did the same with Romney...soooo ?

Which party promised not to take money from corporations for their convention?

Duke’s financial support of Charlotte’s biggest event became a political football soon after the credit guarantee was announced in early 2011. Sidewalk protesters from FreedomWorks, a conservative group, waved “Fire Jim Rogers” signs as Duke’s CEO presided over the company’s annual meeting that spring.

Some shareholders also objected.

Concord stock owner Bonny Stilwell questioned Rogers, who led fundraising for the host committee, about the line of credit at an August 2011 meeting to vote on Duke’s merger with Progress Energy.

“If it was something he wanted Duke Energy to do,” she said then,“it should have been his $10 million and not the shareholders’.”

Duke’s convention support wasn’t limited to the credit line.

The company donated $1.5 million in in-kind contributions to the host committee for office space, furniture and other expenses. Rogers personally gave $339,000 in cash and in-kind services, including the hiring of a fundraising assistant.

Duke also gave $4.1 million to a separate fund that could accept corporate money to put on parties boosting the city.

Duke and Progress Energy each got $200 million in federal stimulus money for smart grid improvements in 2009.

Dan Murrey, the host committee’s executive director, could not be reached for comment.

Another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody
I got no money cuz I got no job
How I wish I had someone to talk to
I'm in awful mess
I blew in town 40 years ago, I ain't seen a lotta girls since then
If I could find'em I could get'em but as yet I haven't met'em
That's why I'm in the shape I'm in ohhhh....

Another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody
I got no money cuz I got no job
How I wish I had someone to talk to
I'm in awful mess
Another fella told me he had a sister that looked so fine
Instead of being my deliverance, she had a strong resemblance
To a cat named Frankenstein ohhhh....

Another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody
I got no money cuz I got no job
How I wish I had someone to talk to
I'm in awful mess
It's hard for a fella, when he don't know his way around
If I can't find me a honey to help me spend her money
I'm gonna have to blow this town ohhh....

Another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody
I got no money cuz I got no job
How I wish I had someone to talk to
I'm in awful mess

I'm going to try this again just for laughs and in the interest of getting back on topic.

This brings to mind another question for the liberals. It relates to gun control. Their standard mantra goes something like this:
"If it saves one childs life, it is worth it".
The first question is this: How much is that worth? How much are you willing to spend to save a child's life? A million dollars? A billion dollars? A hundred trillion dollars?

And while the goal of saving children's lives by trying to eliminate all gun deaths is honorable and makes for great PR, it is unattainable.

About 1500 children die from guns each year (in the USA).

About 16,000 children die from hunger or hunger related causes every day!(world wide)

That's about one every five seconds.

Roughly 30,000 children die from preventable diseases every day.(again, world wide)

About 16,000,000 kids go to bed hungry every night in the USA.
16,000,000!!

These facts rarely if ever hit the front page of the papers or are even discussed.

Question 2:
So, in light of these facts, if you really care about the children, don't you think you need to rethink your priorities?
