Conservative groups? What a crock that is!

Damn near everyone other than the politicians, those that make money off of the Vi-queens, and the carpetbagger from New Jersey who ripped off the citizens of MN for half a billion dollars is opposed to the “People’s Stadium”.

You can tell that the story was written by a columnist who is employed by a newspaper that depends on the Queens to sell papers for them.

Since the video pull tab thing has been such s rousing success, you can figure that when it's all said and done we will be getting ripped off for the full billion. The whole thing is nothing less than extortion on the part of the NFL, the Vikings, and Wilf.

No, they will not. Do the research on web sites not funded by the state, city, NFL or the Wilfs. Besides, it is not the governments job to provide welfare payments for private industries. Especially one that could easily have built that stadium with it's own funding sources. And we would still have collected the taxes without putting up money we will never see again.

When does the warranty run out on a stadium's usefulness? What has happened is the salaries have gotten out of control. Former blue collar sports are white collar and above now as far as what the owners cow tow to when building these monstrosities. Many of us have become sports enthusiasts to such a degree that it has become everything in a healthy percentage of fans lives. In a blue collar environment, that is reasonable. In a white collar and above environment, It is excessive as the costs that the blue collar sees from this is much more then it should be and for that cost demanding that the team you root for wins is a right despite long term loyalty people saying otherwise.

Not one dime of taxpayer money should go towards this stadium. Let the dull witted football fans finance it themselves!!

Are there football stadiums built without
government subsidies?
Or baseball stadiums?
Or aircraft manufacturing plants?
Or railroads?
Or corporate farms?
Or?
Or?

C'mon, government subsidizes "free enterprise"
wherever it rears its head.

One of the many names for this is "payola". And it's unethical and a burden on the taxpayers. Corporate welfare is as bad or worse than welfare for the needy.

here in Ohio we have 2 pro teams and we are still a back water state... You may want to reevaluate your logic on this one.
