I find the KQ Morning show to be unbearable because the host, Tom Bernard, is a blowhard.

This morning he ripped on an actor for going public with political views because "he is just an actor".

What are Tommy B's credentials for being a political commentator? Doing voice over? This makes him a political insider?

Just another hypocrite making bank on dumb peple.

You're bit of a moron, aren't you? First, you meant to write a post about Tom Barnard, correct?

What are his credentials for doing voice-overs? The only credentials he ever needed for doing voice-overs is the millions of dollars the millions of dollars he has been paid for decades to record them.

As to the political views he expresses on his show, all you need to do is to switch to another station if Barnard says something that bothers you. By the way, Barnard would be the first to say that he has no credentials in the political arena but he does reserve the right to his opinion.

I too wonder why anyone cares about the political opinions of actors, whether they are left-wing or, more rarely, right-wing.

Kind of like actors. What is their qualification for making political statements again? Real fine upstanding citizens, most of those actors. F'd up, real fine citizens.

He is a blowhard and his show hasnt been funny or entertaining in a decade, unless an actual comedian is in studio visiting. My problem is not with his political or social views, turn the station if you can't take it, but his pompous attitude of being a comedy icon. He knows nothing about comedy.

The ratings for the KQRS FM Morning Show have dropped considably in the last decade or so. They used to dominate the market. Back in 1997 they drove Howard Stern out of the market. While KQRS still has relatively high ratings in morning drive, they do not dominate like they used to.

You missed the point. The point was Tommy B saying entertainers should keep their pie hole shut and then opening his entertaining pie hole.

I don't who the actor was or that Tommy B thinks he's a political genius. He's a hypocrite for handling it that way.

I misspelled his name. My bad.

I never questioned his qualifications for doing voice over. He has a great radio voice. My reference was that his only qualification for being a political commentator is doing voice over.

He has chosen to be an entertainer that comments on politics so shouldn't rip on others that make the same decision.

The actors don't open their rant by saying entertainers shouldn't comment on politics. Tommy B did. Hence the double standard.

If I remember correctly you have a radio background Wade.

In '97 I was rooting for KQ because I didn't like explaining Stern's billboards to my elementary children. More than happy he failed that takeover attempt.

The Morning Show seems pretty stale these days.

If you had used a comma instead of a period, it would have made sense that your point was questioning whether him doing voice work made him qualified to make political comments. Tom Barnard is paid to make his opinion known to his audience. Actors are paid to recite the lines given to them by writers and directors. Everyone can have an opinion and make it known. Barnard was not questioning that.

I love how some people get so upset over Bernard. First of all, its radio entertainment and his show is morning drive time which in the radio business is the most important time of the day for ratings. And that is what his show is all about, maintaining his high ratings for KQ. Personally I don't listen to him to much anymore, but only because its does get boring after awhile, but not for anything he says or does. If you like his morning entertainment show, listen to it, if you don't there are lots and lots of choices of other stations to listen to. Just don't anything he says seriously.
