Williams and James could be considered also.

Oh, Bob, what has happened to you? Have they cut your salary that much, or are you just worn down? You used to write good columns. Now you do your "three things" lazy-man journalism, do an off-the-cuff audio rant that requires neither thought nor prep, and occasionally write some empty suit of a column like this.
What hurts the most is that you were once good. But, I guess a paycheck is worth more than professional pride.

Underwood was a bad draft pick. But he was mentally ill and needed help instead of ridicule.

Time to stick to radio Bob. Tommy B. wouldn't need any more details in the story. Writing takes some effort to complete the story. Barreiro knew that you can't do both. Time to give up the paper gig that takes effort and retire to radio.

Underwood is not the story. Green and the front office that picked him should be the story. There is no better way to improve a team then through the draft. To blow a first round pick on a mentally ill player with issues is the story that plays out for years. The New Sheriff was a stiff.

How about a really fast wide-out who can't catch?

I don't normally read sansevere. And this article explains why. Article? More like a post. Completely incomplete and inadequate. There was so much to be told about Underwood, but Bob fell woefully short. What a waste of cyberspace.

At least the Vikings can say that they are not the worst professional team in the state at drafting players. That distinction would go to the T-Wolves.

Bob, did you run out of things to write about? For goodness sake you are a professional writer. Soon people will put you in Underwood's category.

Williamson was the worst draft pick in my view. They gave up the seventh overall (Admittedly in a lousy draft class overall) pick as opposed to a late first-round selection for Underwood.

While Williamson actually spent some time with the team, on the field he accomplished almost no more than Underwood did, or absolutely nothing in other words, only difference is that Williamson took up an extra roster spot while Underwood did not.

Of course one could argue that Herschel Walker was still the worst application of draft picks.

Whoever they pick, I hope the person enjoys playing football in whatever state they find to pay for a stadium. I just hope it's not here. If is was such a good business deal, why wouldn't Charlie Chaplin (aka Z. Wilf) use his own money?

If I recall DaKnee Green shrugged the pick off as a "throw away pick" because they had two first round picks that year. I love that logic...a #1 pick..."Throw away"! Of course this is the same guy who took a knee with one time out left and the highest coring offense in the history of the NFL...well you all know the rest.
