I beieve the way the contract is written is that all workers are to be paid union scale for the job classification. In essence, that makes it a total union project.
As for being unconstitutional, I don't think so. It is simply a contract for specific wages in order to get public funding. This is done quite often with government projects. Heaven forbid that we provide an agreement to pay market rates rather than union rates.
In Minnesota, market rates ARE union rates when it comes to contruction. If you want home builders to take on such a project, then you would have a point.

Republicans are anti-middle class and want wages to be driven down as low as possible.

Dumbass.

Republicans/Conservatives are consumers with their own dollars. As such, they look for the best value. That does not necessarily mean the lowest price.

Democrats spend other people's money and really have no clue on what the best value is. They simply want everyone to hold hands and sing Kumbaya at the end of the work shift.

Unions do provide needed training and OJT for the building trades.

At this point there are so many tradesmen "on the proverbial bench" it's not difficult to get work done at less than Union scale.

Even Union thugs need to eat and feed their kids.

Mexicans are taking over many trades, like drywalling, because they cut prices in half and in this day in age not many are floating in $$$.

It's to bad a project this large can't be bid out and awarded to the lowest bidder. Once a bid is accepted the saved $$$ can be used to enhance the project. Of course an enhanced project will take longer to build and employee people longer so labor would benifit.

You're such a loser, your joy in life is watching an ape play with a ball and get paid millions for children's games. Now you're a Kanye West fan. You could use a beating.

You really don't have a clue. I want everyone to earn what they are worth. The market dictates what wage someone earns. Simple supply and demand.

To pay someone $20 to do a job only worth $10 is stupidty. And that is exactly what you want. You are an idiot.

"It's embarrassing that they pay their CEO 500 times what they pay their typical worker, especially if the company's performance has been mediocre," says New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez, the provision's author.

Total direct compensation for 248 CEOs at public companies rose 2.8% last year, to a median of $10.3 million, according to an analysis by The Wall Street Journal and Hay Group. A separate AFL-CIO analysis of CEO pay across a broad sample of S&P 500 firms showed the average CEO earned 380 times more than the typical U.S. worker. In 1980, that multiple was 42.

Wide gaps in pay can affect employee morale, productivity and turnover, several studies have found. In the 1980s, management guru Peter Drucker advocated capping the ratio of CEO pay to average worker pay at 20 to 1. Beyond that, resentment creeps in, according to the think tank Drucker Institute. In 2010, a joint study by Northeastern University's business school and Bentley University found that employee productivity decreases as the disparity between CEO and worker pay increases.

"...says New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez"

You mean the same Sen Menendez that f*cks underage prostitutes? That Robert Menendez?

I can understand how a criminal that hires underage prostitutes would be the hero of a fake from Seattle that loves playing with little boys.

Birds of a feather...

So the labor of fully a third of the workforce in the UNited States is worth less than $10.00 per hour??? Bullshit. All workers are entitled to a living wage and benefits.

And you are the first to complain when those people need government assistance for food, clothing, shelter and medical care.

It's amazing how anyone can be so ignorant.

Menendez hasn't been charged or convicted of anything.

Now Greer in Florida, on the other hand, plead guilty to multiple felonies today.
