Obama administration struggles to illustrate pain from sequester

The Obama administration has overreached three times in the past 10 days in attempting to illustrate the negative impact of the sequester spending cuts in the short term, giving fodder to those seeking to play down the impact of the cuts...

Although, the White House on Tuesday did find one way to illustrate the immediate impact of the sequester: An administration official said the White House is canceling all public tours due to staffing reductions, effective Saturday. Republicans quickly lashed out at the move, with former House Speaker and GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich tweeting that it is "childish and dishonest," as well as "silly and demeaning."

Republicans seem to think the sequester is funny.

Note that the majority of the American public also blames the GOP for the sequester, and its results - a slide back into recession.

Funny you think so, a new poll out today is blaming republicans 27%, Obama and the Democrats 23%, and both parties equally 49%. It is posted on another thread. Check it out.

Yet the sky didn't fall, the oceans didn't over run the land and the stock market continues to be bullish! Spending cuts of 85 billion were insignificant in the large scheme of things. The only reason Obama wants to make it greater than it is, is because he didn't get what he wanted, more tax revenue! An under educated populace elected him so they would naturally blame his opposition, if he tell them to! They don't know any better!

If they think it's funny, it's because the administrations idea has some back to bite them on the ass.
