Do you believe it? Gov GoogleyEyes baby is in trouble.

And there is a certain employee of UnitedHealth Group that posts on this site who says both Obamacare and MNsure are just fine. Do you think that person might be saying that because his/her company is making billions of dollars off the abject failure known as Obamacare?

If I were making billions of dollars off of a government failure, I'd say everything is fine too.

MNsure problems prompt state to seek help from UnitedHealth

MNsure has asked a division of Minnetonka-based UnitedHealth Group to conduct an end-to-end review of problems with the health insurance exchange website.

Meanwhile, health exchange leaders plan to make more paper applications available as a contingency for website users who continue to encounter stubborn technology problems when trying to obtain coverage through the state-run insurance marketplace.

UnitedHealth Group is one of the nation's largest health insurers, and its Optum unit contributed to a November "tech surge" to try rescuing the federal government's healthcare.gov online insurance marketplace.

The federal website covers 36 states, and Optum also has worked on troubles at state-based health exchanges in Maryland, Massachusetts and Oregon, said Scott Leitz, interim executive director at MNsure.
But during a board meeting Wednesday in St. Paul, Leitz said the outside help doesn't change the fact that contingency plans are needed, particularly in the weeks leading up to a March 31 deadline for people to obtain coverage.

"We're not going to have the ideal system by March," Leitz told board members. "We're going to have to be thinking very seriously about the need for us to have contingency plans."

Minnesota launched the MNsure website last year to implement the federal Affordable Care Act, which calls for almost all Americans to have coverage this year. In complying with the law's mandate for individuals to have health insurance, people must have coverage for at least nine months to avoid a tax penalty.

The timeline means that MNsure likely will face a surge in applications in March.

When the health exchange experienced a surge in activity during December with people finalizing coverage for Jan. 1, the MNsure website and call center weren't up to the task. Callers waited hours for help, and MNsure officials ultimately suggested that people consider obtaining coverage on the private health insurance market.

This is one of Gov GogleyEyes finer moments. Our over medicated Governor is blaming a contractor for the problems. Yet MNsure took back responsibility for the project from the general contractor a full 8 months before the kick-off.

Last October, our over medicated Governor then took to whatever public forum would allow him to babble incoherently and told the world MNsure was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

While the head of MNsure took a "much needed vacation" in Central America for two weeks during the critical start up period, Gov GoogleyEyes kept telling everyone how lucky we are to have MNsure there to provide for all of the Minnesotans.

As the problems began to be acknowledged by Gov GoogleyEyes staff, they the pointed fingers at private sector contractors that were hired by the State to develop elements of MNsure. According to Dayton and his handlers, it is the fault of those evil private sector contractors that he system is failing everyone.

OOPS!

Now it comes out that MNsure has been acting as their own general contractor and project manager since February - well before the launch of MNsure.

Either the over medicated Gov GoogleyEyes is lying through his false teeth, or he is incapable of knowing that his minions have screwed up a pass through portal of a web site that could have been developed by high school students.

Does not matter which one ... we will never know the real story since the DFL and Gov GoogleyEyes handlers will never be honest with the citizens of Minnesota.

Minnesota Governor Blasts IBM For State Health Exchange Troubles

By Clint Boulton
Wall Street Journal

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton blamed IBM Corp. software problems that have stalled thousands of insurance purchases on the state’s online health exchange. The exchange, MNsure, said it is bringing in UnitedHealth Group Inc. owned contractor Optum to review operations. But MNsure may have to accept some of the blame after taking systems integration duties from the site’s general contractor just eight months before launch.

“Your product has not delivered promised functionality and has seriously hindered Minnesotans’ abilities to purchase, health insurance or apply for public health care programs through MNsure,” Gov. Dayton wrote in a Dec. 12 letter addressed to IBM CEO Virginia Rometty.
.
.
.
MNsure may have to assume some blame for its current predicament. Since February 2013 the state exchange has served as its own general contractor after pushing the original contractor, Maximus Inc. to a secondary role., according to documents provided by an MNsure spokesperson. Maximus selected IBM and other software providers before designing the exchange. Taking on the general contractor role, which includes managing the integration of various private insurance and government systems, is a tough task; the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid was heavily criticized for electing to run the development and integrate HealthCare.gov . The site was plagued with a number of technical problems for months after its October 1 launch.

Obama has supported, continued or expanded almost every policy put in place by his predecessor.(hence the G.W. Obama nickname). This includes, but it not limited to, corporate bailouts, banking industry bailouts, Guantanamo, Afghanistan, supplying weapons to known terrorists (Syrian rebels), extending and expanding the so called Patriot Act, systematic encroachment on Constitutional rights including the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th amendments as evidenced by the expansion of the patriot act and the recent revelations regarding NSA snooping on American citizens phone, email, and internet use records. Let us not for get his efforts to grant amnesty to well over 25 million illegal aliens.
There has been little, if any, change from the previous administration.

If the Obama administration decided to nuke Hawaii, the Netherlands, and Australia just because it was time to do so, it's followers, the Obamaites, would defend the action ferociously as only mindless worshipers can. It is almost impossible for this faction to admit that G.W. Obama has been a failure to the American people, and in some ways, a traitor to his oath of office. And it really makes them itch that he has carried on almost every failed policy of his predecessors administration

The pain of the Obama-ites is the realization, and subsequent denial, that hope and change was a smokescreen for the masses. It obviously meant nothing since G.W. Obama has continued or expanded most if not all of his predecessors failed policies. Guantanamo, Afghanistan, corporate bailouts, giving weapons to Syrian "rebels" (aka 7th century extremists), giving special favors to some groups and sicking the IRS on others, crony capitalism, attempting to subvert the constitution via the so called "partiot " act, upward spiraling debt and unemployment numbers, etc. Besides the suit in the oval office, what has "changed "?

So being a non profit or not for profit organization automatically makes them altruistic? Even though they had some dust up about their CEO walking away with tens of millions in salary, bonus, stock options, and severance pay? McGuire, I believe his name was McGuire. But it's ok. They're a non profit.

You got it. Little Billy McGuire. He is such a wonderful humanitarian. And he ran one of those caring non-profit companies that only help people.

Biggest Golden Parachutes

William McGuire

During his 15-year tenure as CEO and chairman of UnitedHealth Group Inc., McGuire turned the regional health insurer into the second largest managed care company in the U.S. He received his thank yous in the form of stock options—$1.6 billion of them, to be exact—but he took some of them on the days the company's stock price hit yearly lows, profiting when the stocks went up again. McGuire was asked to leave in October 2006 after federal prosecutors and the IRS requested documents concerning his stock options and executive compensation. He later agreed to return $600 million in various payback agreements, including one with the SEC. But McGuire retained about $800 million in options.

And people wonder why hospitals charge $37.50 for a tylenol and a band aid. But as you may have noticed, Obama and Congress completely ignored the opportunity to work together to address the corruption within the health care system. No, instead they just rallied the troops and created yet another unstoppable government bureaucracy.
