best thing is to go and ask tenants who live there. as well as a few of the businesses around there as well.
I remember it being a yuppie area. quiet but on the snobby side when I visited a friend who lived there at the time. I do not remember if the friend still lives there.

There is nothing worse than a drunken Muslim wielding a machete. Have you ever had to confront one Snagagoalie?

Waiting in line for a show at the Triple Rock last year, there were quite a few Somalis out and about as well as lots of U students and other artsy types on the sidewalk. I didn't feel like it was a particularly dangerous place to be, but a call to the local police precinct would tell you about crime in the area. Those apartments are very near several well-known watering holes which cater to a fairly rowdy crowd (bikers, punk rockers, etc.) so defining 'safe' would be a good first place to start.

As a young man I livedin an Apartment Complex that had the Laundry Room in my building. In those days chilren' still wore cotton diapers, and some Moms had not heard of "Deft" for the diaper pail. Anyway the odor was at time unbearably permeating throughout the whole building, inclucing our Apartment.

I hope my illustration enlightened you as to what it would be like to live in "Little Somalia".......

But, I knew what the awful permeating odor was where I lived, good luck defining the odors from the most recent objects of the Catholics and Lutherans white guilt, the Somali.

No, I never heard of the CedarFest, but it sounds like fun. Our wedding anniversary is the third week of August so maybe we'll celebrate in Minneapolis next time.

Cedar Riverside is home to Little Mogadishu, the Somali ghetto of about 4000 government dependents.
And, yes Sangelia, there are Muslims and bars side by side. I wouldn't live in that place if you paid me.
Happy New Year!

I love the internet because people are free to be as racist and prejudiced as they want. There's no need to hide behind bullshit passive aggressive behavior because you can't be judged through your computer screen.
Anyways, I probably shouldn't stay too long or my distinctly Muslim non-alcoholic smell might ruin this page. Don't worry you'll be perfectly safe as long as you keep your close minded prejudices to yourself. I suspect most of you are too cowardly to voice your ignorant opinions. Either way, I'm glad you guys find little Mogadishu below your standards.

Another good reason why the Internet should not be anonymous. Would you voice your racist opinions if your name and address were public?

I lived at cedar 94 for three years and while living in the apartments two guys got robbed my I say the manger is very rude their is no chains on your door so the building manger comes as he pleases without you even knowing thats not safe to me !! and the apartment management sucks they will be in your personal space and make false information about you. One more thing the building has roaches and bed bugs I hated living at cedar94 I mean I payed 1000 dollars for a one bed room and to be treated like that is no professional my rent was $700. When I first moved in but then it went higher
