Los Angeles, CA

Authorities have released the name of a man who was fatally shot in Shakopee.

The Hennepin County medical examiner’s office identified the victim Thursday as 32-year-old Aaron James Moran of Shakopee.

The medical examiner says Moran died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers were dispatched to a house on a report of an armed robbery about 7 p.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found Moran suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

So a guy gets killed by an armed robber who is apparently on the loose. And somehow, that is the fault of the NRA? Let me guess...the shooter is just a sad victim of circumstance? The shooter didn't mean to do it? The shooter had a hard life?
Bottom line, the shooter was an armed robber who murdered another person and is the only one responsible for his/her actions.

The bottom line is that if we restricted the sale and possession of handguns and automatic weapons like all other first world countries have done for years, the supply of illegal guns would dwindle after a decade or two and our obscenely high rate of deaths from guns would start dropping.

No other developed nation has anywhere near as high a rate of deaths from firearms as the United States. No other developed country allows as free of access to guns as the United States.

Only a fool couldn't see the cause and effect relationship here.

Why yes. Look how well extremely restrictive gun laws have worked out in Chicago and Washington DC. And by the way, we do restrict the sale of handguns and automatic weapons are illegal to own without a federal firearms license. But those laws don't apply to criminals and the flow of illegal guns just keeps coming. Only a fool would not see that the problem is the criminals, not the guns.

And where exactly do you think the criminals GET the guns?

Ya'll could cover the earth with loaded guns with 200 round magazines and unless a person picked one up and pulled the trigger none would discharge.

Understand?

Very true.
.
Look at both Britain and Germany. Both have VERY restrictive gun laws. And until recently, the main areas where shootings have occurred at the schools.
.
http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/335739... Mass shootings are no more common than they have been in past decades, despite the impression given by the media.
Gun-free zones have been the most popular response to previous mass killings. But many law-enforcement officials say they are actually counterproductive.“Guns are already banned in schools. That is why the shootings happen in schools. A school is a ‘helpless-victim zone,’” says Richard Mack, a former Arizona sheriff.
.
http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/19/opinion/bennett... Goldberg cites evidence from Adam Winkler, a law professor at UCLA, that concealed-carry permit holders actually commit crimes at a lower rate than the general population.
According to anti-gun advocates, such an increase in guns would cause a cause a corresponding increase in gun-related violence or crime. In fact, the opposite is true. The FBI reported this year that violent crime rates in the U.S. are reaching historic lows.

The only thing related to gun violence that has changed is the media coverage of gun crime while ignoring knife killings.

Is that why all of the government agencies have been buying up millions of rounds of ammo - to protect us when we can no longer protect ourselves?

Gun crimes have increased dramatically in Chicago and Washington, DC since the inception of draconian anti gun laws. Only a fool would not see the cause and effect relationship here.
