The Voter Fraud That ‘Never Happens’ Keeps Coming Back

By John Fund

February 8, 2013 9:51 A.M.

Critics of voter ID and other laws cracking down on voter fraud claim they’re unnecessary because fraud is nonexistent. For instance, Brennan Center attorneys Michael Waldman and Justin Levitt claimed last year:“A person casting two votes risks jail time and a fine for minimal gain. Proven voter fraud, statistically, happens about as often as death by lightning strike.”

Well, lightning is suddenly all over Cincinnati, Ohio. The Hamilton County Board of Elections is investigating 19 possible cases of alleged voter fraud that occurred when Ohio was a focal point of the 2012 presidential election. A total of 19 voters and nine witnesses are part of the probe.

Democrat Melowese Richardson has been an official poll worker for the last quarter century and registered thousands of people to vote last year. She candidly admitted to Cincinnati’s Channel 9 this week that she voted twice in the last election.

This is how Channel 9′s website summarized the case:

According to county documents, Richardson’s absentee ballot was accepted on Nov. 1, 2012 along with her signature. On Nov. 11, she told an official she also voted at a precinct because she was afraid her absentee ballot would not be counted in time.

“There’s absolutely no intent on my part to commit voter fraud,” said Richardson....

The board’s documents also state that Richardson was allegedly disruptive and hid things from other poll workers on Election Day after another female worker reported she was intimidated by Richardson....

During the investigation it was also discovered that her granddaughter, India Richardson, who was a first time voter in the 2012 election, cast two ballots in November.

Richardson insists she has done nothing wrong and promises to contest the charges:“I’ll fight it for Mr. Obama and for Mr. Obama’s right to sit as president of the United States.”

But, of course, as you know there is no voter fraud. Pay no attention to that lightning coming out of Ohio.

A total of 19, and you have zero proof on who the other 18 voted for. The only real proof would to see their actual voting ballots.

Interesting how democrats want every gun owner properly vetted to the extreme and registered but any attempt to ensure against voter fraud with strict registration only strips us of our rights and oppresses the hapless voters.

The liberal hypocrisy continue...

An overwhelmingly small, inconsequential percentage you say? Kind of like the tiny fraction of population that misuses firearms and the trifling ratio of semi-automatic rifle tragedies compared to number of gun owners?

So is better registration a good thing, or does it suppress the rights of individuals?

Great point. Registration is supposed to be used to document users to make sure they are qualified to do that activity and protect its lawful use. If voter registration suppresses the rights of voters and unfairly targets certain groups than gun registration suppresses 2nd amendment rights and unfairly targets certain groups.

There were over 1,000 votes cast illegally by felons in Minnesota in the 2008 election with fewer than 200 prosecutions. Minnesota leads the neation in voter fraud, not Illinois.

It is "fraudulent" Political Parties and corrupt Politicians that that are the problem.
If the "Common Good" was was "Common" and based on Constitutional Principles/Law, and the Rule of Law was not replaced by the Rule of Man for Political gain, then Voter Fraud would irrelevant because a Moral People could not be "purchased" by corrupt Political Parties.

Remember the Law allowed Hitler to ascend, and the People allowed the law to become corrupted because the people were corrupt.

If we need gun registration to make sure people are legally allowed to own a weapon and reduce the potential for crime, we certainly need voter registration to make sure people are legally allowed to vote and reduce the potential for fraud.

If voter fraud is not rampant, I would argue that neither are gun tragedies committed by assault rifles, given the number of owners of them.

I brought my senior citizen father to a new doctor's office the other day. Not only did he need to provide a photo ID, Medicare Card, and Blue Cross card they took his photo. At first I thought it was about customer service so the staff can put a face with a patient's name. Yea right. There was a webcam sitting on the counter at the check in desk. They have facial recognition software. At check in, each patient is checked to make sure they are who they say they are. Think of the fun it would be if there was a Voter ID bill that included facial recognition procedures at the polls?

Does the software indicate if the subject is a felon?

The problem is not Voter Fraud.

The problem is the 20% Defective of Low Character that can be purchased with Shiny Baubles by Corrupt Politicians.

Look at the Sewer Dwellers here like "Slewsie the Child Abuser" and her "Co-Stalking Name Stealer of Low Integrity".

You could Buy both of them with a new box of Depends, a Mirror scrap, and a few Buttons. They are completely clueless about anything except their Base Biological needs.

Politics and the Issues of the Day?

LMAOROFLKUFUCK!~ These Sheeple are below even the Stupidist Amerikan that has a Vote.....But never the less, 18 hours a day they intertwines their sick Sexual Desires for Children with their Recitation of the Talking Points from those that keep their Supple Guts filled at the Public Trough.

Nope, the problem is that Amerika is infested with scum like "Slewsie the Child Abuser" and her "Co-Stalking Name Stealer of Low Integrity" that are allowed to Vote at all!
