What kind of person spends a million dollars for a loft in downtown Minneapolis, and thinks it's a good place to raise kids?
Go play in the street, little Muffy, and when you're done you can cool off in the Mississippi! Watch out for the gang-bangers, though. LOL

Minneapolis won't close the half full schools they have scattered throughout the city, and has a $670 million budget to educate 34,000 students. Maybe the city should just give all those downtown kids $20k each to go to whatever school they want, would be cheaper than building a new school downtown, and same price as the price per student in the district now.

Maybe we should just enroll them in tne University of Minnesota, it would be cheaper.

Undergraduate tuition

Academic year, 2012-13

If you receive undergraduate credit and are not registered as a graduate or professional degree student, your tuition rate is the same as all undergraduate students and does not vary by college of enrollment.

13-credit policy

As a degree-seeking undergraduate student, you must pay a flat tuition rate based on 13 credits, no matter what your credit load. This means that any credits beyond 13 are available at no additional charge. Even when you take 12 or fewer credits, you must pay the 13-credit flat tuition rate.

You will be charged per credit for credits 1-12 and a flat tuition rate for 13 or more credits only if you are either:
•pre-approved to register for less than 13 credits or
•are automatically exempt due to your student classification

For complete details, go to the 13-credit policy page.

Enrollment level

MN resident

Per credit

$463.85

13-credit flat rate (13 or more credits)

$6,030.00

Sounds like a business opportunity here. Maybe these parents should pool their resources, find an investor, and open a private school. Especially if they want the "phenomenal education" for their children.

It would be an even better opportunity if the state of Minnesota had vouchers.

The numbers were wrong, but the actual numbers are worse than what he stated.
Pure nonsense?
Only the latest in a sordid history of continual nonsense by slewage.
