Say you're on a snowy road and you crash and the cops take your data without your consent, or the courts want you to incriminate yourself on the basis of your black box data. If it's your vehicle, you own the data. Well thanks to our good buddy obama, you do not. Therefore the black box is government property that you do not have the right to tamper with, ultimately so is the vechile they just give you a liscense to operate it.

If you think this is bad, wait until car manufacturers start implementing OBD III, courtesy of the California Air Resources Board (CARB). Your car will broadcast any trouble codes to waiting roadside sensors, which will in turn transmit your data to a central office to decide if you should be fined or not for "polluting the earth".

My god does no one even care?

This is disturbing but not very surprising. Big Sis has been systematically carving away at the Bill of Rights for years. Almost always, it is in the interest of "national security". Any data recorded by these things should be the express property of the vehicle owner. No one else.

Do not ignore the fact that Obama Drones will be able to "ping" your Black Box and your Cell Phone.

The Sheeple blindly follow each other over the cliff!

Hey, But as long as the Government stays out of their bedrooms, the Demokrats "feel" that they are "Free"!

Old cars are what losers can afford and as technology improves so will law enforcement...Obey the laws and you'll have no concerns....
