I don't have an opinion of UFO's. Frankly, I'm sick of the subject. If there is such a thing as UFO's you could never get a serious look at it because of jokers like this. He has no way of knowing what his sick joke is going to have on someone who thinks it's a real UFO. If it wasn't UFO pranks, it would be something else. It's time to grow up buddy and get yourself a legit job instead of playing childish pranks. Get the stupid grin off your face. You're not funny.

I love how the Government is using this man to cover up the reality of the situation. THOSE WERE NOT LIGHTS TIED TO A KITE. Kites move in the wind... these lights did not. Seriously people.. this story is a load of bull.

Dude has my support to fly his kite day or night, but if the park is closed between a certain hour he should respect that.

Another example of "common sense" not being so common. Let the man fly his kites and ignore the calls. Really, ow hard is that?

Disorderly conduct for flying a kite? Why did the police even respond to it?

The judge needs to tell these cops to go fly a kite. Go after real criminals and quit wasting time !

Maybe because they are getting tons of worthless 911 calls from the public.

Can't stop and arrest the drug dealers in the parking lot as I have to head over and arrest a guy for flying a kite with lights on it. Geez, you can't make this stuff up fast enough!

Rather than hasseling this guy for flying a kite, how about we question the sanity of those people who thought there was a UFO over St. Paul. They are more of a problem than Junior.

The police were made to look like fools when this guy initially flew his kite with LEDs on it earlier this summer. Now they are just getting even with him.

Let the guy fly the kite when ever / where ever, there is no law against it. Problem is there are catch all laws like disorderly conduct and terroristic threats that can be used to encompass most any behavior the "authorities" don't like enabling them to arrest you ....

“There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.”—Ayn Rand

Ummm...if the police knew it was a kite, why didn't they just tell people who complained that it was a kite, and then tell them to get a life. This is ridiculous. Would you rather have this guy flying kites or committing actual crimes? Seems like he's trying to fill his time in a bit more constructive way than in his past, if he was previously in the workhouse.

Arrested for kite flying....and I thought I had heard just about every crackpot crime busters story by now. The people who are terrified of UFOs need to get a little counselling. IF there are UFOs - and it is a mighty big IF - so what!!! They have never crashed their space ships into the World Trade Center or shot at anyone. If they want to fly by and have a look, let them. Apparently they haven't seen anything on earth which rates a stopover.
