Portland homicide detectives have been called out to a home in the 3600 block of Southeast 67th Avenue to investigate a fatal shooting.

A man was killed at the home in what appears to have been a family dispute.

Portland police were called to the house at 5:34 p.m. on a domestic dispute, a report that "an uncle shot the other uncle.''

Medical personnel who arrived attempted to save a wounded man's life but he died at the scene, police said.

A neighbor Sakiko Taguchi said she was working on her computer when she heard something outside.

"I heard noises, somebody fighting,'' Taguchi said.

Another area resident Timothy Brown said he could see police cars surrounding a home across the street from his.

Brown said police have been called to that home in the past due to family squabbles.

"It's terrible. I know the family,'' Brown said.
