DETROITóDetroit police say a 70-year-old high school basketball coach shot and killed a teenager during an attempted robbery outside the school.
Police spokeswoman Officer Cassandra Lewis says assistant girls' basketball coach Ernest Robinson was accosted by two males Friday evening while walking two team members outside King High School.

Lewis says the males announced a robbery and struggled with Robinson, who pulled a handgun and fired. She says Robinson is a reserve police officer and licensed to carry a concealed pistol.

Detroit Schools' spokesman Steve Wasko says 16-year-old Michael Scott was killed and an unnamed 15-year-old was wounded.

Prosecutors were reviewing the case Wednesday to determine whether to file charges.

Priscilla Scott has told reporters her son did not have a gun.

Voilence, really ??? Ps- Not AT school, at all....

Of course, this coach also had training, a background check, and is still awaiting possible charges, too.

Did you have a point or is this more moron minutia...

In English:

("Voilence" isn't actually English, but we'll pretend it is.)

In Minnesota the coach would have been arrested and convicted for shooting unarmed youths. Conceal and carry does not authorize you to shoot someone unless you feel your life is threatened.

This child is now dead and has no chance to reform and live his life because of gun laws in America.

This article is a great editorial on why gun laws need to be changed in America.

Wrong, the coach would not have been arrested and in all likelihood, not convicted! While you are correct, you may not use your weapon unless you feel your life is threaten, the discription in the artlcle leaves a lot of unknowns. People, including junveniles, make decisions, these youths made a choice, they attempted to rob a 70 year old and paid the price of their transcretions. It is sad, indeed, when a life is lost (55 million children in the past 40 years to abortion) but they made a choice and it was a bad one.

Geez, I thought the Sludge was the Spell Check Queen of Topix. I guess he/she/it has some competition now. Let's see who wins out.

You are ignorantly making statements with nothing to back up your claims. But that is what we have come to expect from Le Dumbo Jr.

You do have one thing right. We need to change the restrictive gun laws in this country. As stated in the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution, and affirmed by the US Supreme Court:

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

So, the pregnant lady gets less choices, than a gun nut and the actual child has less value, than a potential (?)???

Wow...Guess, wing nuts ONLY hate children, they can shoot.

We in the USA need a new term.

PostPartum Abortion, PPA for short.

The term would apply to situations where people are killed while in the process of commiting a crime. There would be NO questions asked about the killing, just like a PrePartum abortion. The resultant biomass could be discarded as in a PrePartum Abortion. Maybe the Government could designate the remains to be used for science.

Pretty hard to get both sides, when one side is shot and dead... Come on over, we can try your theory.
