Obamacare does not fully implement until next year.

Until then, everyone needs to save their money because their current premiums will probably double. Even Super Lib Harry Reid says it needs a major overhaul or it will be a train wreck.

Obamacare. The biggest tax increase ever foisted upon the American public.

as well as folks better shop for insurance. since many insurances will not cover much of anything.
.
husband's insurance has already started to cut out various things that they cover. they used to cover eyes, hearing emergency health problems, etc... now, they don't. and he is paying for the family level of coverage. his is thru work.
.
even then, they have refused to cover our daughter for anything. and she is a minor.

The good news for you is that Obamacare is expanding coverages, rather than allowing people to choose to limit the types of coverages that they are purchasing. Your one payment will cover everything from a hang nail to an abortion.

The bad news is that it will cost you about double out of pocket from what you are paying now.

And for your sake, let's hope your husbands employer is not a cold hearted basturd like me and will continue to contribute to offset some of the costs of the insurance policies.

The reduction in Medicare and Medicaid will drop off as the boomer generation continues to die off. In 2020 the majority of the boomer generation will be pass the mid 70 range. No single generation has the numbers and therefore, as Can't often has said, Nature has a way of weeding things out.
