The gun belonged to a friend from Minneapolis and, at one point in the evening, was loaded with four or five bullets, he told police.

A 7-year-old witness told investigators Dennis said he had the gun because he was "going to kill a girl," according to the complaint. At the town home, Dennis pointed the gun at the child's head and told the child not to worry because there were no bullets in the gun.

I call this a classic case of "Moron Chip" failure. He learned everything he knew about guns from the movies.

The article is taking the self-serving statements of the killer and stating them like facts. Word to the wise--some folks who are familiar with dude's personality aren't completely buying his version of the story. And let's face it, who is there to contradict his implausible version of events?

Is there such a thing as journalism anymore? Or does his defense attorney ghost write these articles?

PT Bull. Great point! Another example was CBS Radio's news yesterday. They continually sided with the Big 3 car companies. And not one sound bite from the MAJORITY of the feds who won't give these a-holes any of our hard earned money. CBS is a bunch of suck-a$$es. They must get their ad money from the very soon obsolete and dead Big 3s.

Its time these people...IDIOTS killing others, are made to be accountable for thier stupidity. Prison will set an example for others to start thinking about what their doing, and how a little thing, like POINTING A GUN AT ANOTHER PERSON..... or using an gun to INTIMIDATE A GIRL....What a moron!!!
I hope the legal system can stop these idiots from killing more innocent people.
Some say gun control is the answer. I don't agree. this gun was used by a human to kill. Do we pass laws banning stupid humans? The owner of that gun should be held accountable for passing the weapon off to Mr. Dennis for the purpose he had in mind. Sound like a criminal act to me to Terrorise a girl for telling stories? Was this gun possessed legally? was this gun registered? If so, what is the owner obligated to, or held accountable for things that happen when they knowingly give their gun to someone with criminal intent. I hope this person never sees this gun again, and is not allowed to purchase, or own a gun ever in the future. ACCOUNTABILITY, and PENALTY. The only way to end senseless violence and STUPIDITY blamed on "I didn't think the gun was loaded, and I didn't know how to use it"!
I think this young man who was shot, may have had a chance to tell his "good friend" to take his GUN AND GET OUT OF MY HOUSE. Taht may have saved his life.
I know the Housing Complex (Rice Creek Townhomes) where this happened and it is known as a crime hot-spot and I, as a Service Provider, have bee warned by the Fridley Police, to avaoid that Complex, for my own safety.
Too bad for the people who this CRIME left behind.
Too Bad!
Lets do something to stop this crap.

The true fact of the matter is this: Everyone needs to STOP! Stop speculating, spreading rumors, making theories. Only those that were actually there REALLY know what happened. It is not for any of us to judge. The true fact of the matter is bad decisions were made, whether intentional or not, on so many levels and a human life was lost. The poor judgement calls started long before the event that took place in the townhome complex. Long before a young man was handling a gun with or without the ability to do so. There were many more people involved in this final outcome than the shooter himself. Be smart. Don't be the cause of further events taking place.

So, if we speculate, others will die? Wonder how many I have killed with the speculation I have already made...

Anyway, I appreciate you sharing your speculation on the causes of this incident. ;)

Yes, they are losing lots of advertising dollars from auto companies lately... Self-serving rather than the usual ideologically based journalism.
