It's good this mom is going to speak within the Somali community. It's really funny that Wakefield's recent visit, only about a half-dozen Somali parents showed up so it could be more are wising up to Wakefield's fraudulent scams and acts.

Maybe these parents should go on the computer and go to Http;// WWW.Vaccination council.org
And read and listen to real Researchers and Doctors that have done real studies on these subjects instead of listening to a woman like friend that has no back ground in the medical field.
Infact FRIEND YOU just might learn something from these lectures.
I know I have and I am sure that somebody that makes open statements and says they are fact and can't back them up could learn something from them.
One problem they are lectures and will take time to listen to, they are over an hour long for each one and there are a lot of them.
But I am sure FRIEND won't take the time to listen to them and learn something, she will just keep running her mouth off and say things she can't back up with facts.
But if some people out here want to learn something about Autism, vaccines, the stuff that is in the vaccines, and just what that stuff could do to a person, These are very interesting lectures.
Have a good night

Kind of like you, and millions of others, who have no back ground yet has alot to say? Well, you only attack others, like here, way off topic to the article.

Thanks for showing up but I'd rather ignore anti vax trolls who only come here to attack. Thanks for giving a great example of what that is!

I especially like the Islam point of view. They are so forward thinking and always want what's best for the children. Better your child strap on a TNT vest than get a flu shot!!
Well they are smarter than friend they have an open mind and I am sure if you ask them a question about something they said they could tell you where they read it or heard it, FRIEND just runs her mouth off and when somebody asks where she got her info she changes the subject and calls them a troll.
She out right lied and when call on it she can't give an answer.
What is so hard about telling people out here where she read that ALL the Children in MIN. that have measles are U.S. born or are U.S. citizens?
She made that statement and can't back it up.
SHE also has said that " KIDS 5 or 6 don't get autism anyways!"
I guess autism is age discriminatory.
Yes most people show signs of autism by 3 or 4 years old but it can come on at an older age, But Friend says it doesn't.
I am sure she Has documentation to back that statement up. I don't know where she would have gotten it but I am sure she has.

Have a nice night

Once again, I cant help it if you have a reading comprehension issue. Maybe it's genetic. If your sole purpose is to attack me, (not sure if that's genetic or acquired) keep up the good work but let the rest of us have a decent conversation.

I don't have a comprehension problem, You have a lying problem and that is WHY you can't answer a simple question.
YOU LIED you made a statement and when I read the article and other articles like it I couldn't find any place where it said that all these kids were born in the U.S.or were U.S. citizens.
YOU said they were, so seeing I couldn't find any place where it stated that, I asked where you got that info.
YOU didn't answer it you kept saying do a search,do a search, well I have done many searchs and out of over 30 articles I can only find one that says that ONE of the children was a U.S. citizen.
So I will ask you one more time where did you get the info that said these children were all U.S. citizens or as you said Born in the U.S..
OR did you make it up?
If you made it up just say so, NO big deal, you lied and got cought and you can't face the fact.
You also lied about " Kids don't get autism at 5 or 6 years old!" Where did you get that FACT?
Sorry to tell you that autism is not age discriminatory, yes kids get it mostly at the age of 2 ,3, or 4 and for your info can get it at the age of 5 or 6.
So just tell us one way or the other and we can go on and have "a decent conversation".

Call me all the names you want.
YOu can't answer 2 simple questions having to do with the topic of the Children that have measles in Min.
All you have to do is say I really didn't know where they were born or if they were U.S. citizens and we can go on.
But you lied and can't get out of it.

I was going to tell you if you would like some good info from real researchers and doctors that are looking into just what we are doing to our kids and what is in these vaccines we are shooting into our kids there is a very good website.[ it is IND. and has no connection to AOA] it has many different lectures on many different things doing with vaccines and our kids,
Most of them are almost an hour and a half long but have a lot of good info both for and against vaccines It is WWW.vaccination council.org
IF you get some time it might be worth your while to watch/listen to them,
I have only heard about 1 and a half of another one, so I have a lot of reading and listening to do.
Well have a nice night see you tomorrow

It is BETTER to go to a REAL doctor and talk to him or her on the subject.
.
In my case, due to my daughter and me BOTH having aspergers. And I found out that I come from a long line of aspies. I tend to talk with actual doctors face to face on the subject.
.
Even my doctor knows that autism, especially aspergers tends to run in families.

And just to put poor anti vaxxers to rest, first thing that popped up in a search:
Autism Rates Are Higher for U.S.-Born Somali Children in Minneapolis
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/01/health/01au...
It was just that easy to confirm or debunk. They've been debunked, again.

Also, a child may have been mis diagnosed and get an autism diagnosis after the age of 5 however for symptoms to all of a sudden present at the age of 5 or 6, never heard of. The cause then would be something else. Leaving it the one anti vaxxer, it would then mean autism could just happen at age 10, 16 or 40.

You might as well get into the 21st century. It isn't just men who are doctors.

As well as your attitude is stuck in the same era as when they started to use cowpox shots as a way to treat smallpox.

All parents report autism shortly after vaccination. Pharma callss it coincidence. They say its genetic...only less than 20% of all autism cases have been proved to be linked to genetic muations. the science you are refering to for dismissal of vaccine sdie effect is manipulated so that public keeps vaccinating. you want to vaccinate go ahead but dont be pushers, we can put 2+2 by ourselves....
all it matters is that vaccinces is causing autism...all you have to is read parents reporting of how their kids lost abilities of talking and joint attention shortly after vaccination. Dr Wakefield report was just a plus. A doctor who was specilalized, trained onlly to be vilified by pharma and their news outlets which they control

So if ALL parents report autism shortly after vaccination (as Canadian Ray states), where is the evidence for this. There is none. In fact the NEJM published study found evidence that this was not the case:-

"There was no association between the age at the time of vaccination, the time since vaccination, or the date of vaccination and the development of autistic disorder."

Canadian Ray should get his facts straight.

Parent reports is not science. Once you ever get more than Wakefield's generated mass hysteria, then someone might listen to you. All parents do not report autism after vaccination and hello, do you even know what autism is? It's much more than loss of language and joint attention! Until then, anti vaxxers are nothing but lacking peer reviewed evidence, spewing scare tactics and lac social skill themselves.

mr wakefield's report was dicredited on the basis that it was found to have falsified data. Making it a false report.
.
Four years after the publication of the paper, other researchers' results had still failed to reproduce Wakefield's findings or confirm his hypothesis of a relation between childhood gastrointestinal disorders and autism. A 2004 investigation by Sunday Times reporter Brian Deer identified undisclosed financial conflicts of interest on Wakefield's part, and most of his co-authors then withdrew their support for the study's interpretations.
.
He underwent hearings that finally found him negligent and had his medical licence revoked. Thing is, his medical area of study was Histopathology. Which is in NO way connected to autism.
.
Histopathology is the study of tissue under a microscope. It is what lab technicians use when they have to study a biopsy material or surgical material of a patient.
.
http://www.cnn.com/2011/HEALTH/01/06/autism.v... The British medical journal BMJ, which published the results of its investigation, concluded Dr. Andrew Wakefield misrepresented or altered the medical histories of all 12 of the patients whose cases formed the basis of the 1998 study
.

.
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/histopatholo... The study of the microscopic anatomical changes in diseased tissue.
