I think the Public Works people need to look up what the word "Intensifies" means. I just drove down Smith and there is no sign that the city has ever been on that street doing anything.

FYI:

in·ten·si·fy
[in-ten-suh-fahy] Show IPA
verb (used with object), in·ten·si·fied, in·ten·si·fy·ing.
1.
to make intense or more intense.
2.
to make more acute; strengthen or sharpen.
3.
Photography . to increase the density and contrast of (a negative) chemically.
verb (used without object), in·ten·si·fied, in·ten·si·fy·ing.
4.
to become intense or more intense.
Origin:
1810–20; intense +-ify

Related forms
in·ten·si·fi·ca·tion, noun
de-in·ten·si·fy, verb, de·-in·ten·si·fied, de·-in·ten·si·fy·ing.
o·ver·in·ten·si·fi·ca·tion, noun
o·ver·in·ten·si·fy, verb, o·ver·in·ten·si·fied, o·ver·in·ten·si·fy·ing.
self-in·ten·si·fied, adjective

Of course, this assumes that there is something to intensify.

The Asphalt plant has been operating for over a wee. St Paul PW has not been out doing anything withe the streets. What do we pay for? Certainly not a competent PW organization.

They got rid of one manager in plowing, there must be a different idiot in pot holes.

Government is a unaccountable monopoly so what can we expect. Like any monopoly they charge way too much, don't get the job done, and could care less about customers.

Socialism always fails.

I think you are correct. Try driving Hamline between St Clair and Randolph. I have driven in plowed fields that were more navigable.

Common people of St Paul. Its time to vote out the idiot liberal money hawk Chris Coleman as mayor.. All he wants to do is spend out hard earned tax dollars on new rec centers to house the thugs that run rampant on our streets. Potholes !!! Why fix them when its more fun to watch people dodge them and cause accidents or destroy you car when you hit one of these craters. All the money we give in tax dollars and they can't even through a little patch in the potholes. These are the very reasons I finally decided this year to move to the suburbs. So long to the dump known as St Paul!!!!

What I find very annoying, is the fact that my property value has gone down, but my property taxes have gone up.

Yet, even with increased property taxes, the city cant fix the potholes in my street? The only time the potholes get filled is in the winter time when it snows.

Wait another year, Saint Paul...and you wont have to fill the holes, you can just put a bridge across them.

Many of the cratered streets need to be redone and made new. However the Libertards hate to spend taxdollars on anything but LRT/Bus/North Star rail. So the streets are noting but a bunch of potholes, JUNK

IMHO It's time taxpayers take action, we can hire private firms to redo the terrible streets and bill the Government.

And why on God's green earth does the Government fill potholes by throwing tar into the holes without rolling the tar? Back in the day when Government took pride in what they did, when fixing potholes they would fill potholes and use a compactor to flatten the tar. Making a better patch and reducing the amount of loose tar thrown up on vehicles.

Minnesota is a terrible environment to maintain streets, every year the frost heaves up all the roads destroying them. Either build them out of concrete or rebuild frequently.

People should not be encouraged to live in Minnesota, this winter is proof negative.

How about my 'Pot, not Potholes' policy. We spend the money used to arrest and harass pot smokers on filling the pot holes.

It is not Tar, if they would use Tar first, it would hold better. It is asphalt, and this year there is no excuse as the plant opened a month early. But wait until the Libertards find out what asphalt really is. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

My mistake, they used to paint the potholes with tar and then fill with asphalt and then roll it flat with a heavey roller.

Nowadays that is too much work so they throw in asphalt and let the vehicle traffic flatten it. Of course without tar lineing the hole the asphalt doesn't stick and ends up with a repeat offender pothole, great job security for Government workers.

The only objective in Socialst Government is WORK!!

They don't prioritize quality long term fixes.

They still need three trucks and twelve workers though. The worst potholes are around those new, expensive man-hole covers they put in a couple of years ago. We needed those like a hole in the head!!

What if all taxpayers on a terrible road, you know any road in St Paul, simply had the road made new by a private company and withheld the cost from their property taxes due the city?

Karl's path would be full of potholes as well.

FYI, the term "assfault" is a gay term, defining when a gay guy has been overbanged.
