I hardly think taht Boeing's fudge of charging the batteries to a lower voltage and sticking them in a 'fireproof' box made of stainless steel is either a real fix for the problem of using a type of battery, which is known to be so dangerous that it is banned as cargo, in an inherrently unforgiving environment. The decision to use Lithium Ion batteries has to be one of the most stupid since the start of commercial aviation. Even if the current fire is proved to be nothing to do with the batteries you will not catch me on a 787 any time soon.
Oh, I get it! It's irony! You're posting as "Smarter" this time 'cause really you're "Dumber". Good one.

Carbon fiber is easier to fix, that aluminum, but I will of course defer to the dumbazz who cannot spell....

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch said in a July 13 statement that its probe probably will take several days and includes help from U.S. government agencies, Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines Enterprise, the plane’s operator.

Blathering, from the misspelling 3rd grader.... Who seems to hate America.

Con/cant hasn't been a "man" for years.... Never will be again.

Just a troll, hiding in the dark & hoarding dollars, while begging betters (ALL) for benefits....

It's time the 787 starts to grow out of its teething issues.

The 787 uses aluminum wireing, now that isn't very smart. Reminds me of a company I used to work for that decided to save money and use silver for contacts on PC boards. They were all recalled and replaced with gold contacts.

Aluminum wire is noted for oxidation. Maybe Boeing stepped in it big time. Airplanes operate in a harsh environment with extremes of temps and humidity, condensation is normal. Aluminum is a bad choice.

Human error caused Heathrow fire.

Sounds like a problem waiting to happen. Since when were wires needed to connect a battery? Slide in battery packs are the norm these days for every consumer grade toys, why not a 787 battery pack? Honeywell, you guys know what's up?
